Wooden Wall Barometer in Solid Oak with Thermometer & Hygrometer with gift booklet on its use.

Update after 3 years: Falls apart in many ways:- The surface coating of the wood splitters off.- The glass and the ring of the lower clock did fall off.It does not seem to be good for outdoors. It is not "weather proof" so to say.*****************after about a year of having it hang on the house wall (southeast facing):- the gloss on the wood had come off ... but it still looks good on that red brick wall- the two round parts are loose in their holes of the wooden base (I guess I can fix it with some filling and glueing)How accurate the readings are ... I never did check into this aspect. But I am not a scientist and should it be 5% off - so what!

Second purchase (first for myself, and second as a unique gift for a special occasion)

I chose this model by Woodford, for I liked the idea of a solid oak wooden body rather that a stained wood. The quality of the German movement appealed to me as well.When I receieved it ( was very securely packed ) I was a slightly disapointed as it seemed smaller that what I was expecting.However, it looks fine and attractive located in my hallway. I would recommed it to anyone.The very young Johnny Boy.

i got this barometer on june the 8th 2012.it is a very nice and well made barometer.and it does wot it says on the tin.i wood recommend it to any one who is looking to buy one.and the service woz TOP CLASS.THANKS AMAZON.wally Thornton.

It arrived with a broken glass on the barometer, plus the needle was bent, It was probably broken before it was placed in the cardboad box, because there is absolutely no sign of damage to the packaging. Very disappointing as this was to be given as a gift. If it had arrived in perfect condition, we would have been satisfied with the product. It is being returned.

cant get it to go to the right setting

I bought this for my father's 70th birthday and he is hard to please! The barometer is a good heavy oak with deep brass trims; very good quality. What is more, it is made in the UK! It was an excellent choice; giving temperature as well as pressure and it arrived with hanging fixture on the back so that we could hang it straight away. The barometer arrived promptly and was well packaged. Thankyou amazon.

A lot smaller than I would have hoped for but it looks good, ordered on behalf of my nan and she is happy with it which is all that matters.I think it's priced a bit high!!
