It is definitely not a choker but not long like a pendant. I have had this necklace for a few months and I store it in the packaging it came in and it is not tarnishing at all.

Very nice quality. This necklace is great the few bucks it cost. Doesn’t irritate or leave marks your neck, the color doesn’t change, it’s nice a dainty. What I love most about it is that it holds its place on the front of your neck, doesn’t work its way around to the back like others do. The charm that should be visible STAYS visible.
