Review: The blades are super sharp! - This food chopper/mandolin slicer is a great time saver! I just diced two onions in 3 minutes or less! I love this little powerhouse! I read that some folks were concerned about how sturdy it is and how long it would last. let me tell you, It's the least expensive one on desertcart and at $16 it's the best bargain for one of these. If it only lasts a year, it's inexpensive enough not to be a big concern. It's definitely worth the money. Great value, great tool, very user friendly...definitely 5 stars. my only caution is that the blades are super sharp just as the sticker warning says...I tapped the small dice blade lightly and cut my finger just enough to bleed on the onion I was working with...didn't hurt or know it was cut till the onion juice got into it and then saw a little blood...ouch! LOL

This food chopper/mandolin slicer is a great time saver! I just diced two onions in 3 minutes or less! I love this little powerhouse! So far, this gadget works great. Made short work of slicing nice, thin carrot slices, and paper thin cucumbers. It's a little fussy to use for small quantities, but perfect when you need to prepare for a crowd. My only complaint is that the accessories don't all fit nicely into the bin.
