I was slightly disappointed when I opened it as I felt the material was very thin but when opened at the beach it was great. Absolutely huge!! We put it on damp sand and it stayed dry. Would def recommend and may even buy another small one for moments where we don’t feel the need to commandeer an entire beach/park 😁

People shouldn't be freaking out over the material. Not only does it clearly state the material in the ad, but you would NOT want a blanket this big in a material similar to a towel! It would be heavy, hard to fold, and a nightmare to deal with when wet. This is meant to give you a big sand free lounging area on the beach. You put your own personal towels down on top. I really loved using this over the summer on our camping trip. It feels like sand under your feet without the mess! It honestly was amazing. And as a 6'5 tall person, I was relieved to find that it is actually huge. I can stretch out fully without touching sand. The only drawback I can find, is that the corner pockets (to fill sand with to hold it down) are too shallow and with the right wind angle the blanket slides out from under the tucked sand. We had to use the provided plastic pegs. These worked well, but they seem like they could snap, so you gotta put them in carefully. Once down though, they held in place perfectly. 4 stars just cuz I would have rather not needed to use the pegs as I bought it for the corner pockets. I worry about feet stepping on a buried peg. Otherwise fantastic.
