My Go-To Hair Clay
Been using this for over a yearIโve been using Highland Hair Clay and itโs honestly become one of those products I keep reaching for every day.The biggest thing I noticed right away was how good my hair feels after using it. A lot of styling products either leave my hair feeling stiff, crunchy, greasy, or weighed downโbut this gives hold while still keeping my hair feeling healthy and natural. The scent is another huge plus. It smells really nice without being overpoweringโclean, fresh, and noticeable in a good way.I also really appreciate the ingredient quality. It feels like care actually went into whatโs in the product instead of just focusing on hold alone. My hair feels conditioned and healthier compared to some stronger styling products Iโve tried before.Performance-wise, it gives great texture and control while still letting my hair move naturally throughout the day. Easy to apply, easy to restyle, and washes out without a struggle.Overall, Highland Hair Clay has been an awesome balance of styling performance, feel, and quality ingredients. My hair looks good, feels amazing, and smells greatโhard to ask for more from a hair product. Anything from highland is high quality, itโs not some big corpo they care

As a professional haircut specialist
As a professional haircut specialist, Iโm all about versatility and suitability, I love that it fits to all hair types such as density and texture, obviously depending on which techniques you do on each hairstyle. If you looking for light to strong hold, this product has it all. If you looking for a STRONGER hold, get a hairspray. Itโs very easy to apply on your palm to emulsify, it creates that nice heat to help it melts smoothly, it glides really smoothly on to the hair like butter without the chuck or gritty feeling. Would I recommend this on wet hair, no. But on damp hair, yes. Therefore, dry hair too can be easy to apply. The price is very reasonable because it has the high end salon quality and the thin package doesnโt create any mold at all, it helps the lid to tighten to clay pomade so it stays the same texture and consistency. Im glad that this company chose the metal thin material instead of plastic. It doesnโt leave your hair dry after hours. It is very moisturizing. It has the conditioning humectant ingredients, so you can definitely see the shine. I wouldnโt recommend oil. This product is enough if youโre looking for all in one.

Truly all-natural, headache-free, and incredible multi-day hold!
I can confidently say this is 100% natural. In the past, artificial and synthetic styling products always triggered headaches for me, but this pomade gives me zero issues. It is completely unscented, clean, and very easy to work into your hair. The hold easily lasts the entire day. A quick tip: start with a small amount and build up as needed depending on your hair type. Plus, if you don't shampoo daily, youโll notice the hold easily carries over for a couple of days without feeling gross or greasy.

First Impression is "Fine"
One Week Review: I've been using Aveda clay for years. I tried this for the same reason everyone probably is--the relentless ads making it seem like the product is well made by a small business and who does not want to support a small business making a product without a bunch of chemicals. I have thin straight hair for reference. The scent is better than Aveda (and that is saying a lot because Aveda is mostly about the smell). The product is much harder to apply that Aveda. Aveda is creamy but Highland Glacial pomade It is very stiff and initially gritty. I have had to throw out some beard products because they are too stiff to use. Highland requires some muscle to get out of the container, but a finger will work and I didn't have to get a tool out of the toolbox to get it out. You have to warm it up on your fingers for a bit to get it to go on your hair. It is sticky on application, so I have to use a light, smooth touch or I will pull my hair all over the place and look crazy. I can't just run my fingers through my hair with a handful of product and then style it like in the commercials. You have to rub any residue off of your hands with a towel (or your jeans) because the wax won't just wash off with soap and water. It holds fine, but I may not be using enough product. Because of the stiff texture, I started with a very small amount and have been gradually using more. The Wax in the Highland product works better in the rain that the Aveda. The Aveda just dissolves in the lightest mist and disappears when my hair dries. Then my hair looks like Barney Fife after making out with his girlfriend on the couch. After some slight rain, my hair remained the same using Highland. At this point, I'm using it every day, I'm not sending it back or tossing it, but i'm not sure I will stick with it after the initial tin is used up.

not bad
This product works reasonably well and gets the job done, but it wasn't quite as impressive as I expected. The hold is decent and it applies easily, but I found myself needing to use more product than I anticipated to keep my hairstyle in place throughout the day. It has a nice texture and isn't overly greasy, though the performance may vary depending on your hair type. Overall, it's a solid product, just not my favorite compared to some other styling clays I've used.

Love this brand!!
I used it for a slick-back bun, and it worked amazingly! It gave me a smooth, bump-free finish with great hold, and I love that itโs made with all-natural ingredients. The only feedback I have is about the scent. Itโs a bit earthy for my personal preference, but I understand thatโs expected with an all-natural product.Overall, Iโm really happy with it! Amazing product from an amazing brand

High-performing grooming product !!
Non-greasy finish, the perfect amount of hold. I am a stylist and couldn't wait to try this brand. I love using the clay on thicker hair. Great for men or women. The scent is earthy, natural, and awesome.

3/5
I wouldn't say I noticed a huge difference than other fairly well regarded pomades, and given the high cost I probably won't buy again. Not a bad product. Doesn't smell that great though.

Excellent product

Not for me
It doesnt have a great hold in my opinion. And very very expensive compared to other products

It's ok - I've used better.
It's ok, I like the smell. I wouldn't say a medium hold - more of a 'light' hold. I get that this is a product with more natural ingredients, but I have bought better at a much cheaper price point.
