I didn't pay close enough attention to how the corners connect so I had to undo several, but that was my fault, the instructions had a clear picture of how to attach the corners together. It appears very sturdy, I wouldn't think it'd work for a dog over 30 or 40 pounds, but I'm using it in my basement to be able to bring in an outdoor cat during the winter.
