Don't lean on the top rail.
The ladder is sturdy and well built but then the cheap plastic top part in no way will support any weight. How do I know, because at 230 pounds I put my hand on it and it broke off nearly sending me head long into the wall. Crap design. Like all to many products these days I took it to my wood shop and fabricated a sturdy top rail that will support the 270 pounds the device boasts in advertising. It is no longer made in China, it is now made in America. I am a retired Combat Engineer so perhaps I expect something to hold up as advertised, I am happy with the product now, it is light weight aluminum solid construction, all except the cheap plastic that I have reinforced with plywood. .

Lightweight ladder.
I really like this little ladder! It is lightweight, less than 8 pounds, so easy to move anywhere. I can lift it with two fingers. It folds up nice and slim for storage. The steps are sturdy and I feel very secure on it. The top black tray is not meant for weight, just lightweight items or maybe a quart of paint. Don't count on it for support. Much better than lugging around a 5' wood ladder, for sure. I can easily reach my 9' ceilings.

Great kitchen/closet ladder.
Lightweight and easy to move around my kitchen. My kitchen has a 9ft ceiling with cabinets to the ceiling. The ladder allows me to reach everything and is easy to lean against the wall out of sight. It will not fall over. Love it.

If I would have known what a great ladder this is I would have bought it sooner! I got it to replace one that final "died" on us. This one is so much lighter, sturdier and more practical than the one we had for many years. I totally recommend it!

Plastic breaks easily
Black stopper on top of ladder broke partially from shipping. Broke rest of way during first use. Can't lean on top platform. Otherwise OK.
