Update: I was told not to bother sending them back, and a replacement pack was sent quickly. So I ended up with a spare. All 3 locks have worked really well, and these are great to carry since they are so light, and very quick to put on and take off when stopped. They prevent anyone simply walking off with the bike during a cafe stop or something; and do have a strong metal core which isn't quick to break through if anyone does try to do that. They are great, so from 1 star to 5, both for product, and service when one of the first pack didn't work as it should. One of the two has failed after only a few uses - it wouldn't lock at all but just kept sliding off. I haven't used the other. Will be sending both back as a faulty product.

Use these to fasten my motorcycle helmet to my bike. Easy to use, lightweight and convenient to carry. I would not use these ties as primary restraint for an expensive bicycle - far too flimsy!!! Cons - would only deter a casual thief. These ties could be readily cut - universal key (the key has two sharp prongs and the ends can easily tear/pierce your pocket lining. This is an annoying design flaw)

Easy to use, lightweight and easily stow in jersey pocket. A pair great either for two bikes or to double up front and rear, or secure against fixed object. Still wouldn't leave for too long, but perfect for cafe stops etc

I was after a small lock that was visible, super lightweight and suitable for use outside coffee shops. This is the perfect lock. Granted it does not provide a very high level of security and could easily be cut by a criminal. However I don't need it for heavy security as I never stray far from my bike at a cafe. This folds nicely and fits perfectly in the back pockets of a jersey, it's super lightweight so doesn't weigh us road riders down. I ordered the yellow colour which is very visible on the bike hopefully further deterring a criminal. I would very much recommend to a rider who doesn't need a very secure lock, but wants something lightweight and simple as a small deterrent.

These are fantastic so easy to use. I use one to lock my helmet to the bike when I am not using it and the other to go around the back wheel as extra security in addition to my main Locke. These are also super handy if you just popping for a coffee, you can lock the bike in place and then keep an eye on it And have that piece of mind.

Really light, easy to carry in a backpocket, the only negative experience I've had is that they are so light that one fell out of my jersey pocket but I didn't realise. It's also a little awkward that the key has to stay in the lock, this can mean it's liable to come out. Generally though I'd recommend, perfect for short stops like going into a shop or cafe. Great and light an small enough to put in jersey pocket. Buy two - you can then have option to link together as one isn't practicable enough to go through bike, and round any post. Two does job great.

It's important to remember that products such as these are designed for securing a bike in view for brief windows Eg while you run inside for a coffee. They are a deterrent for opportunistic thieves who are looking to hop on an unsecured bike and be off. These absolutely will not stop a thief with tools and should not be relied upon to do so. My only real complaint with the product itself is that because it has universal keys all a thief need do is buy one of these to have the key to everyone's. Furthermore, a knowledgeable thief will know that these can be opened with just a couple of pins or nails. As such this shouldn't be used as anything more than secondary security in combination with another lock. However, this was my intention as I will use these to secure the wheels of my bike and a different lock to secure the frame. Aside from that, the product is well made, easily portable and nicely packaged. It's fit for the purpose I bought it for. My only issue with the product I received is as shown in the picture there appears to have been a manufacturing issue with the keys I received. They both still work though but it's 3* instead of 4* for that reason.

I use this all the time on my road bike. It won't stop a determined thief, but it is great for quick stops at a convenience store or lunch place. I keep under the saddle, wrapped around the small saddlebag, on one bike, and in the top tube bag on another. It is so lightweight and convenient.
