I LOVE TED'S PAIN CREAM !!
I also posted the following review on the three-tube page because, while originally I ordered the individual tubes, now they offer the three-tubes-at-a-time and that's how I now order them. But, the good reviews on one page don't show up on the other and they should. So: I LOVE Ted’s Cream! A highly respected doctor-friend who is always on the lookout for new and effective products gave me a tube of Ted’s Pain Cream for my birthday. One reason she bought it for me is that it is created by neuroscientists, and I’m such a fan of neuroscientists (I use their so generously published research about the brain and its effect on grief and on anxiety). The other reason she bought it for me is that it works. It works so well that I immediately bought three more tubes to make sure I’m never without it. I keep a tube of Ted’s Cream on the nightstand. I have one tube in the office. I have another tube in the kitchen. And I began giving it to my friends for their birthdays. The ONLY ‘weird’ thing about it? I realize how used to pain one can become. For example, I had some deep ache in my legs (after a six-mile fast walk), and I spent ages lying there at night trying to relax the muscles, kneading the muscles, tossing and turning - trying to get comfortable so I could sleep. Now, I had that one tube right there on the nightstand. And yet there I lie, sleepless with the pain. Worrying that maybe I have to give up my exercising. Until the lightbulb goes off in my brain and I think, “wait!!” I no longer have to put up with these aches and pains! I have a solution. I have THE solution! I grab the tube of Ted’s Cream, apply it to my achy muscles, and voila! I’m off to dreamland. But ever since that experience I kept thinking about how strange it is that we become used to having pain even when the solution is close at hand.. Once, after a long/intense walk and my muscles began aching, I thought – for the heck of it – I would put the cream on just my left leg. Just to see. Just to see how effectively it worked. Well, that leg felt so much better. Completely better. I spent several hours marveling on how much the right leg was still hurting while the left leg had no pain. Until I finally smacked myself on the forehead and asked myself why the heck I was letting my right leg suffer! So, yes, applied Ted’s Cream to the right leg and, yes, voila! Years ago, I had an unsuccessful surgical removal of a neuroma and the result is an occasional, truly awful, sickening nerve tingling in my foot, especially at night when I’m trying to sleep. It’s awful. The only solution for me has been taping one large magnet-disc on the top of my foot and one of the bottom of my foot and then wearing a sock to keep it in place. But now I have Ted’s Cream!! As soon as I start feeling the tingling, I apply Ted’s Cream… and – here it comes! – voila! Besides muscle aches, I use it on my knees when they bother me. On my sciatica. Another favorite application: itchy skin. There are sometimes really intense itches… on the skin surface but also below the skin surface. Scratching just doesn’t relieve it. And, if the itch is on the bottom of the foot, that’s an inconvenient spot to scratch. Now, I just apply Ted’s Cream. WHAT A RELIEF !!! Each tube lasts a long time even though there are so many uses for it. I LOVE Ted’s Cream!

Finally, some pain relief for SFN & plantar fasciitis
TL:DR It works a charm for my small fiber neuropathy (SFN) and plantar fasciitis) pain as long as I apply it 3-4 times a day. Full story Dr Pradeep Chopra recommended it for SFN pain in his talk at Dysautonomia International's 2020 conference. Since nothing I've tried has done anything for the burning in my feet, I decided to try it. Before I started using it, the SFN burning started within 20 min of using the treadmill. I also had dreadful plantar fasciitis that 40 years of treatment, insoles, daily stretching, steroid shots and more..... had failed to resolve. I started using Ted's Pain Cream 4 times a day on the Tuesday. By the Thursday, I realized that I had no plantar fasciitis pain. Not a thing! I got up after sleeping and could walk with no pain. On the Friday I could use the treadmill for 40 min (doubled my pain-free time) before the burning started. I slipped with the 4 times a day and the burning got worse, so I took it up to 4 times a day again. Then I decided to try the tub of cream with the lidocaine. I use the cheaper tube 3 times a day and put the lidocaine one on just before I get on the treadmill. Yesterday I did an hour on the treadmill and then immediately walked the dogs for 90 min. About 10 min before the walk ended, the burning started, but not nearly as bad as it used to be and I could easily ignore it. As you can well imagine, I am ecstatic. Before, when the burning started, I had to sit with ice on my feet for ages to bring the pain down. Now when the burning starts, I either apply the cream again, or I just rest my feet for 10 min or so and the pain goes away Ted's website says that many people find they can reduce the number of applications of cream over time. I hope this happens to me, but if I can get this level of relief from just four applications of cream to my feet a day, I'll be happy to do so. I'm not quite at 2 weeks of using the creams I am truly ecstatic right now. I haven't had a day of pain-free feet in 4 decades, until Ted's miracle cream that is. Ted's pain cream is a deal changer for me

Works beautifully on some of my issues, is helpful with others...
My husband found this through articles he was reading and forwarded the information to me. I read EVERYTHING thoroughly (including the bad reviews from some people). Despite the few 'bad' reviews, which weren't actually that 'bad' in my opinion (just testimony about how it didn't solve their issues, which is to be expected for some people), I decided to give this product a try. I have suffered from chronic pain since 2012, so I am always looking for something to help me that ISN'T in pill form. My experience with this cream has been this: It works just fine for my somewhat 'small' pain - my hands, my knees, etc. But when I start having my debilitating pain in my back and side (abdomen area), it HELPS, but doesn't make it go away. After dealing with years of pain that is debilitating, anything that helps is a bonus in my book, hence the 4 star review. ;) I think they are definitely on the right track, but it will obviously not work for everyone, or on everything that is causing an issue. I will definitely continue using this product, despite the smell. ;)

Works!
I have had degenerative arthritis in many of the joints and spinal segments of my body for the last 40 years or so; I am 62. I occasionally experience -- maybe every 5 years -- bouts of severe pain in my sacrum (tailbone)-pelvis-hip area that do not respond to the usual therapies like cold packs, massage, painkillers, etc. that usually work. After 10 days or so, the pain remained relentless. I was preparing to go see my physician about getting steroidal injections in my sacroiliac joint(s) that sometimes work. I share this to help you understand how harsh and difficult my pain was. At that very point I happened to read an article from the PBS in one of my news feeds. The article was about Dr. Ted Price from the University of Texas neuroscience department. The article reported a breakthrough in pain research that led to a product called Ted's Pain Cream. I am always very doubtful about snake-oil remedies and I historically don't respond well to holistic medicines or remedies. However, at that point I was truly feeling desperate, so I ordered the cream. When the cream arrived, I applied it somewhat liberally to the lower right side of my back, tail bone, butt and hip. The area I rubbed it into was roughly a 7" to 9" square. Within hours I was feeling relief! I kid you not. I had a hard time believing it. It actually worked as advertised! I applied the cream twice more over the next 24 hours. Within 2 days the pain I had been suffering for over 2 weeks was 90% gone. And in a few more days the pain had completely resolved on its own. I'm a believer. I am also grateful that I now have another tool in my pain-relief arsenal that I feel I can count on.

Helps in combination with other methods; AVOID eye contact
I have had mixed success with this product. I use it for back spasms in combination with medications, stretching and ice. At some stages, it seems to help a lot after a second application, especially. So I keep it in my tool kit of relief methods and it has enabled me a few times to make it through the work day (even though yes, I had the scent of grandma). However, be sure to WASH YOUR HANDS thoroughly as the thick cream sticks to skin well. I now wash 2-3 times with soap after one time accidentally getting some residue in my eye. THIS SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. It was hard to wash out, really hurt and I’m concerned that it may have caused damage to my eye membranes. I have also had the top of my hand break out after a couple of applications, and until I realized what was causing it, even had dry red patches and slight blistering. I am not allergic to many substances, so beware the strength of this medication. Also a customer service note. I emailed the Ted’s offices about the best way to remove from the eye and they didn’t have specific information for me. There should be a warning on the box and suggested method for removing it, in my opinion.

Works even better over time
I was just a bit skeptical but I decided to give this a try. I work very long hours in 3-4 inch heels and sometimes my feet are killing me by the end of the day. I love potions and lotions of all sorts so I decided to give this a try. I was surprised that it really does seem to work. This is not a cure-all, but my feet definitely hurt less by the end of the day. I only apply it once in the morning. The cream has a nice minty smell and is quite soothing even when you first apply it. I do not chalk the benefit I feel up to placebo effect because I really did not actually think it would work even though a friend had recommended it. So, although this is definitely not a cure for foot pain, it does offer enough benefit to make it worth the cost. I plan to buy this again. UPDATE 10/17/2018: I decided to change my review to a 5 star. I have used this daily for a month and it seems to work better over time. I rub about a dime size amount of lotion onto each foot in the morning. I suddenly realized the other day that my feet are just not hurting at night anymore. The maximum improvement for me was fairly gradual. I highly recommend using this everyday for at least a month to see if the benefit you receive increases over time as well.

Beware
I was going to add a picture to this review, but can’t get the upload to work. I was given a tube of this by a friend who didn’t like the smell. I am diabetic and have foot pain sometimes. Early this morning, I started having foot pain and decided to try it. Foot pain went away and I was happy until… This afternoon I was sitting at the table prior to taking my shower. My right foot started burning, not hurting. Looked down and my entire foot and halfway up my lower leg looked like I had a bad sunburn. My left foot looked the same. I have not worn socks or shoes today and I haven’t been outside. Took a shower and washed both feet twice. Feet and legs are better, but the burn is still there. This was, “I wonder if I’m going to lose my feet scary.” I’ve had good luck with Ted’s products up until now, but this is going in the trash.

First application is a great success! Update - And it continues to be.
I purchased this for my elderly mom. She injured her upper arm at the beginning of 2018. Doctors x-rayed and diagnosed it as a soft tissue injury and prescribed pain medication and rest. Months later and it is still bothering her. Resting is hard for her, she has a passion for doing her own yard work. It has been very frustrating for her not to be able to do what she wanted to do. I read of Ted's on NPR website and after a little more research , decided to give it a try. I had it shipped directly to her. She used it last night for the first time. When I called to see how it worked for her, she said "I slept the whole night through for the first time in months! " She also went grocery shopping today and did some yard work. The arm is still not aching! It was wonderful to hear that report from her. I will update review if anything changes to decrease the rating. **UPDATE** - This cream is amazing! I visited my mom this weekend, she's been using the cream nightly for two weeks. The difference in her overall well being is astounding. After almost a year of being in constant pain, she now has relief. She is back to doing her normal household chores without complaint. While she is (finally) much more cautious about heavy lifting/pulling, she is able to do what she wants to do. I tried it for myself for an old whiplash injury that flares up after long drives, it worked great. I am getting my own tube!

In my opinion adverstising for Ted.s Pain Cream is diseaving
First let me tell you-I ordered this with the premise that this product was excellent for pain. "It is not" you would get the same relief with a baby aspirin. It smells terrible .You would be embarrassed to go out in public with that smell like you have been hit by a pine tree. I would not recommend this product to anyone. The other opinion I have. I ordered this product and paid the extra shipping to have it delivered as early as possible, within 7 days. It took over 14 days before I received this product. Please don't be fooled by the advertising. It stinks along with the product . and it expires June 2021
