At the grocery store we use the grind selection that is one up from the finest grind. Hope this helps. Also, we don’t tamp down the grounds. Just tap the side to settle it. Then press the seal all the way around and then brush off the edges. You might be over filling or compressing too much and not getting good enough water flow inside. You want the used grounds to have a firm feel, and not soupy or hard as a brick. Okay around with how you fill your pod. It’s worth it **Q: I use 7.8oz pods, but only 2.7oz servings come out. What did I do wrong?** A: Most nespresso machines can be programmed to shut off before the full brewing cycle has been completed. Some folks choose to do this to increase intensity of their coffee. Therefore, you will need an expresso pod to brew the smaller amount. If you use the larger 7oz pod then you will get regular coffee.
