Colour Pencils Black Edition - Skin Tones x 12

Just swatched the colours and they are lovely. Very pleased. Soft to use. Only used of cheap paper so far but they feel pleasurable in use. I liked some of the Crayola skin colours but they were hard and scratchy and thus stayed in their box. Wondering if a full set of Black Edition colours needs to be put on my wish list? I was pleasantly surprised how nice this set is and how the colours go so well together.

I've tried several makes of skin tone pencils and these are by far the best. I am colour blind and need a set to give me the ability to replicate skin tones. The black edition pencils give me that ability. The are so nice to use, very buttery and cover really well. I would recommend these to any one who struggles picking the colours from a large set of pencils. The only thing that they could improve is putting the name of the colour on each pencil. I will buy again . Highly recommended

Ordered on Prime next-day delivery. 4 days to arrive.Good quality, smooth and blend well. Others mention no “names” to the colours, so see attached image which is easily found online.Downside: because of the shape of the pencils - 3 sided - you can’t really use a normal sharpener on them.

Pros:- works on black and white paper- good range of colours- good price- can get very solid colour with a few layersCons- i found it a little scratchy though this may just be my paper- blending is okay-ish- very shinyOverall I would recommend these for those who are just looking for some good pencils for casual doodling and drawing. I wouldn’t recommend these to people looking for seamless blending and very rich creamy colours. These are very good for the price. I’m very happy with them!

These pencils don’t suit my style of colouring as they are very hard. Didn’t get along at all with them. Maybe useful for hair and fur texture over a soft base layer but would not use them for skin or large areas

Ce petit set de 12 crayons Black Edition spécial "Couleurs de Peau" est une véritable pépite, surtout si vous aimez sortir des sentiers battus avec des supports foncés.Ce que j'ai trouvé vraiment top :La diversité des teintes : Pour seulement 12 crayons, la sélection est très intelligente. On y trouve des sous-tons froids, chauds, des teints très clairs et des carnations profondes. C’est très complet pour débuter dans l'art du portrait.Le rendu sur papier foncé : C'est là qu'ils brillent ! La mine est tellement riche en pigments qu'elle couvre parfaitement le papier noir ou kraft. Les visages prennent une dimension presque lumineuse, c'est magnifique.Douceur et mélange (Blending) : La mine est "Supersoft". Elle glisse sur le papier sans effort, ce qui permet de superposer les couches pour créer des dégradés de peau très réalistes et lisses, sans traces de traits.Confort triangulaire : La prise en main ergonomique est un vrai plus pour le travail de précision. On garde un bon contrôle pour les détails comme les yeux ou les lèvres sans se crisper les doigts.Solidité : Malgré la tendreté de la mine, ils sont très résistants. Je n'ai eu aucune casse au taillage, ce qui prouve la qualité de fabrication de Faber-Castell.Mon petit conseil d'utilisation :Utilisez-les sur du papier légèrement granuleux pour maximiser le dépôt de pigment. Si vous travaillez sur papier blanc, n'hésitez pas à les mélanger avec un crayon blanc de la même gamme pour adoucir les transitions de lumière sur les pommettes ou le nez.Verdict : Un petit set spécifique mais ultra-performant. Pour le prix, c'est un excellent investissement pour donner vie à vos personnages avec réalisme. Que ce soit pour du manga, du portrait réaliste ou du coloriage, ils sont parfaits. Je recommande !
