Review: Beautiful necklace, perfect keepsake for Anastasia fans, but chain is a little weak - As a kid, I loved the Don Bluth Anastasia film, and I was at the right age to have the toys, including a plastic version (long since lost) of the necklace the princess in that movie wears. The pendant seems to fairly glitter from every angle and the inscription on the back is pretty and just like in the movie too. I wasn't crazy about the option for a snake chain, so I opted for the cable chain, which I thought looked nicer than the alternative... I don't regret the choice, but I would advise potential buyers to give it a minute of thought before settling on what chain they want, because the pendant cannot be removed from the cable chain (dunno if it's the same with the snake one) and restrung on another necklace. I actually had a pretty gold chain of my own that sparkles like the one the princess had in the film and was going to restring the pendant on that for a special occasion I have coming up, but since I can't remove the pendant this is not possible after all. And this is the only downside; the pendant itself is so well made (and even has a very fine weight to it I wasn't expecting) it doesn't go so great with its weaker, less impressive chain, on which it's admittedly bottom heavy.
