I had my compact deep freezer in the kitchen close to an outlet, but the location was inconvenient. It was in the way and annoying. There was another spot but the cord would have to cross a doorway and I was concerned about someone falling. I refused duct tape the cord to the floor. This item was perfect and the cord matches my rooster decor in the kitchen. It's been down for months and I haven't had any issues with it lifting and nobody has tripped over it. It was easy to cut and place. I also have extra in case I need any later.

This cord cover is well made, seems pretty sturdy and was easy to install. It comes rolled up in a small box, I took it out of the box and rolled it up in the opposite direction for a few hours so that it straightened out before using it, that made it lie pretty flat when I put it in use. The cover overall is roughly 1-1/4" wide, but the channel for the cord is very small, about 5/15" wide at most and just over 1/8" deep, maybe 3/16" deep at most. It could hold one of those light duty flat extension cords, but not the round kind that's about 1/4" in diameter. I used it for a thin antenna wire going to a cigar-type HD TV antenna that sits on the windowsill, that cord is about 1/8" diameter and it fit easily into the channel, but a much larger cord (like a standard cable TV cord) may be too big. Also, as I noticed in prior reviews, there is an indented line along the center of the cover on the under side, where you have to cut it to open it up to insert the cord. I used a sharp pocket knife and it worked great, took less than a minute to cut the entire length of the channel. It lies fairly flat and the sand color goes well with the rug. Overall I am pleased and it worked great for my intended use, but if you have a thicker cord to cover or a cord that is much wider than 1/4", it may not work for you!

This cord cover works very well on carpet across a door entry. It sits there well without being taped down and does not cause a tripping hazard.
