Construction feels sturdy and grip texture is aggressive but clean
Product came quickly, and was packaged securely inside a labeled box. (Aside from shipping box) The image through the monocle is very clear, as stated. Construction feels sturdy and grip texture is aggressive but clean. The compact size is perfect for one handed viewing, and the focus knob on top worked better than I expected for one handed use. The tripod works nicely, great for use with a camera I would think, though I bought this to use on the go so I personally won't be using the tripod much. It comes with lens caps for both ends, my only complaint is that the rear cap does not come with a retaining loop (like the front cap does), though the rear cap has a slot for one. Overall I was impressed with this monocular, especially for the price.

The monocular works just fine but I don't think it's a 12x zoom but my problem is with the phone adapter and tripod. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ and the adapter just barely holds it and that's without my case, and the tripod doesn't screw on to the adapter but I does to the monocular

Not as represented
This product arrived quickly and was in a nice box and well packaged. The quality of the product is okay. This is basically an inexpensive monocular. The problem is that I believe it is misrepresented. I'm not an expert on binoculars or monoculars, but I have done some research and have come to the following conclusion. It is not 12X (12 power).I bought this as a gift and to share with someone. I have 8X binoculars and we use them for bird and gator watching, but decided we needed something more powerful. The feature that we can also attach a smart phone and take pictures also helped me to decide to buy.But when out in the field today I noticed the images didn't seem any bigger through the monocular as through the binoculars. I decided to do a test and focused on a distant sign out in the lake. It had fine print and I could barely read it with the monocular and so too with the binoculars. The images appear to be about the same size to me. When comparing an image that is magnified 8 times to the same image magnified 12 times, the difference should be noticeable. I would say that this monocular is 8 power, not 12.I kept trying to refocus and used both the eyepiece focus ring and the knob. It didn't help. The image is clear and magnified, but not 12 times the size of the image as seen with the naked eye. I didn't try to take a picture with the monocular, but I will soon. I'm debating whether to return it or keep it since taking pictures with our cell phones was one of the features we like and the image is clear enough, just not as big as we wanted it to be. I also don't know if an iPhone 8 will fit into the holder. It's big enough for an iPhone 5 but the iPhone 8 is bigger. We'll see.

Beyond disappointing - no zoom, lots of distortion, and eyepiece broke on first use with cellphone holder
There are 3 reasons why I gave this scope the lowest rating possible. 1) There is no zoom. That much is a lie, because one control on top of the scope affects focus, the eyepiece can move in and out about a 1/4 inch which also affects the focus but is not zoom, and the third adjustment which is the ring just forward of the eyepiece, when rotated all it does is shrink or expand the size of the circular viewable area, but does not actually zoom to increase or decrease magnification of what you are looking at. It only makes you see more or less of the object, but without making it get bigger and appear closer. So it is sort of an illusion of zoom, which you might as well leave in the fully open position. 2) Second reason is you'll be sorry if you try to use the cell phone holder because once you push it on over the eyepiece, it will be stuck onto it so tight that instead of pulling off, it will grip the eyepiece so tight that it will pull off and strip the threads and take the eyepiece off with it. Then once you pry the eyepiece out of the holder, it will not longer stay attached to the scope if you try to screw it back on because the lightweight plastic threads are stripped. 3) And finally, there is so much edge distortion that the best you will manage focusing is to get the center 1/3 of viewable area to focus and all around the edges and extending inward half way to the middle, will be really blurry. Picture taken with your cell phone will look terrible even if you are lucky enough to get your phone camera and the scope focus to be in sync because most of the picture will be blurry with just a little bit in the middle that is focused enough to know it's not your camera that is blurring the rest of the photo. So, in summary it doesn't zoom, the phone holder will break the scope if you try to use it, and the optics so bad it is impossible to focus the majority of the viewing area at any distance. I'm really surprised there aren't more negative reviews. Have these people even tried to use the scope and try it with their cell phone, then look at the terrible pictures they are taking? Hopefully I pick a better quality scope next time. I'm willing to pay more if it will mean not wasting money and time to return another cheap junk scope. Attached is a photo showing the edge distortion I was talking about.

Money well spent
The media could not be loaded. This was one heck of a deal! Package came on time and wasn’t damaged. The GrayLu box itself impressed me in its design. On the inside everything was placed nicely and neat. Now for the optic, I was blown away by the power of the monocular. I work at an airport and sometimes I need to be able to see across the runway and my personal optics broke so I picked up this one and it works wonders. Out performed my previous optics.

Mount is pretty bad, it is hard to hold the monocular in place on the phone for any good shots. The actual monocular itself works pretty well though, even thought it is pretty big

Set up is ok, but the zoom and focus are not what expected.
