This smoke alarm is easy to set up and works well with Apple HomeKit and SmartThings, which makes monitoring super convenient. The interlinked system means all alarms go off together if one detects smoke—great for added peace of mind. I like the low battery alerts and silence button, and the replaceable battery is a plus. Only downside: the individual alarms don’t show up separately in HomeKit, which limits room-specific automation. Still, it’s a reliable and smart choice for modern homes.

Purchased 5 of these over a few weeks to get a good price, I have fitted them in Living room, kitchen, upstairs, in garage and in the loft, as there are cables up there that are rarely seen but can still cause a fire. What I like is they are all smart and linked and no electrical installation needed as they run on batteries, also being smart you can check the battery from your phone and test each detector from phone, finally they are combined smoke and heat detectors .great peace of mind.

I initially purchased the Interlinked Smoke Alarm and Hub, along with an additional Smoke Alarm, last year. Unfortunately, I encountered the same issue as many other customers, where the hub was a newer version than the additional smoke alarm, though it was compatible with the smoke alarm that came with the hub. Fortunately, upon contacting Meross, they confirmed that this was an issue with the versions being sold last year. They promptly rectified the situation and issued a refund for the smoke alarm with the older firmware version. I now have two smoke alarms of the same version and a compatible hub, and everything is functioning perfectly—thanks to the support staff at Meross for their assistance. The hub and alarms are straightforward to set up and seamlessly integrate into Apple HomeKit if you use it. The test feature from your phone works effectively, allowing you to hear the alarms individually and check the battery percentage indicator. Some users have mentioned that the alarms aren't loud enough during tests, but this is because the test is only intended to confirm connectivity and functionality at a lower level with different sound. As per the instructions, pressing and holding the physical button on each smoke alarm for over 10 to 15 seconds (can't remember how long) increases the volume to its maximum decibel level, and they are adequately loud, comparable to most smoke alarms. I have one smoke alarm in my kitchen and another on my upstairs landing. The kitchen alarm was triggered once due to a household member burning something while cooking, and it was very loud. I received an alert on my phone indicating smoke in the kitchen, and the upstairs alarm also went off. The alarms are performing their intended functions effectively. If you use HomeKit, you can set an automation to turn on all your HomeKit lights and lamps when any smoke alarm goes off, which is useful in case any fire happens at night and you need to see where you are going, providing additional peace of mind. I have not experienced any false alarms over the past two months of using these alarms. I hope this continues, and I definitely recommend these interlinked alarms.

I am really pleased with this purchase as it gives me a live account on my mobile through Bluetooth. I enjoy the Meross products as part of the ecosystem created through their app: the weather station combined with the temperature and humidity sensors are very useful for monitoring each room and keep my house safe and healthy. Meross is a reliable company where staff respond promptly to your emails in person when you have a query. If a product has a defect as it can happen with technology sometimes, I received a replacement promptly once the issue is explained. Altogether a reliable smoke alarm that keeps your mind at rest; this is why I chose Meross.

Easy and simple to set up. you will need to buy one at least with the home hub dongle but once you have it you can add more smoke alarms with no issues at all. Adding them all in to Apple HomeKit was a breeze and sit quietly in the metros hub section. They do not have Carbon monoxide detection in these like other smart smoke alarms but these are less than half the price and offer the same protection for just smoke as you would expect from smart features. I have these in an outbuilding also as this is also covered by Wifi so a good added bonus if smoke is detected we now get the notice on our smart devices also and could save a building if something happens.

Great item, works well

After having yet another fire angel smoke detector decide to run out of bettery in less than a year and at night with the bip bip bip (why oh why do they always start telling you at 2am), I decided "NO MORE!" Having already smarted the house up with Meross I thought why not get the smoke alarm too. The good, replaceable batteries, can check battery level and everything on my phone, can link alarm to my lights so they switch on in a fire. The bad, while it works as a normal alarm if it's not connected to the hub it loses the smart functionality, the distance isn't the best, I do occasionally get a warning it has disconnected, its about 6m from the hub to the alarm(with 1 wall) , and 2m from the hub to the WiFi. I'm in an old rented house, there aren't any closer plugs I can spare, and it's only a couple of times the hub has disconnected, like I say it still functions like a dumb fire alarm without it so that's OK I suppose. If the connection was better I'd give it 5⭐.

Ik heb een paar keer wat rookontwikkeling uit de keuken gehad en de melder deed prima zijn werk. Je kan als het alarm af gaat, deze op stil zetten als je al weet dat je het op gaat lossen. In de praktijk is dus gebleken dat deze prima voldoet. Koolmonoxide detecteren kan ik niks over zeggen, omdat dat gewoon hier niet voorgekomen is.

Hoy lo recibí y lo puse cerca de una estufa de gas y marcaba cero. Luego lo puse en el garaje y encendí el coche y en unos segundos pito la alarma marcando cerca de 200. Parece fiable.
