The pouch is a nice size, slightly longer than a pencil case, and made of a sturdy feeling material. Very easy to chuck into a rucksack or even large handbag to take on the go.The tiles are smaller than normal, but still usable around thumb-sized (just over 2.5cm x just under 2cm). They aren't too fiddly and the numbers are big enough to still be read easily (numbers around 1cm tall).The 4 tile racks are again smaller than the usual set at 17.5cm x 6cm and fit 18 tiles on them. They have clips on the back so that they can stand up by themselves too. They seem reasonably sturdy but are made of a slightly flexible plastic, so could probably snap if you tried. The only negative with them is that the surface the tiles sit on is slightly too narrow, so some tiles fall off when you go to put them on too quickly.I knew buying it, but it's worth noting that the instructions are in German.Very happy with the purchase and sure it will get plently of use.

Great smaller version of the original game - we got this to take on holiday and was very pleased with it. Great little pencil case style holder and still get the tile holders, which contrary to other reviews these DO have little stands so you don't have to hand hold them during play!Only negative we had is the game instructions are not in English. Not a problem for us as we have played previously so don't need them.For any first time players this would cause a problem as I feel you do need these for an understanding on how to play.Great little game - would definitely recommend.

Ideal for a travel set, great fun. Glad that we already knew the rules as instructions were in German, and French thus the four stars.

A great little travel set. I have the original size at home but this one fits in my bag easily. Yes it does come with German instructions but I already know how to play it so not an issue. The tiles are n nice size and easy to use Only wish it came with a bag for the tiles as I will have to make one again like I did for the big set

This travel set has now been on three holidays with us and is great for evenings when you’re too tired to go out and there’s nothing on the box. Recommended to get you talking.

Very sorry I purchased this as seeing the reviews... even after 4 years they are still sending out with the instructions in GERMAN Why? Why no other language ????Also mine looked as if it had already been used as the numbers in black were broken and missing bits. This is very disappointingLike other reviewers my grandson had taught me to play a few months ago but I still need to refresh so I will have to print the Google instructionsThis is not very cheap in price, the bag seems strong but the tile holders are flimsy and if you put the little stands on the back they might break when returned to the bag (like a pencil case)I cannot actually squeeze the stand holders in place on the reverse of the black stands.If I had been an Amazon Vine member I would have suggested some improvements to this handy travelling gameOn the whole I'm disappointed that with numbers coming off and the German instructions this game should have been considerably less money.

My wife and I play this game most nights and I was looking for a more compact travel set. After buying a set for a family member many months ago we decided on getting the same for us.However the tiles and board were smaller than the previous model.

Rummikub (Komptakt Edition) kam sehr gut bei meiner Freundin an. Habe es ihr zu Weihnachten geschenkt und war davon hellauf begeistert. Sie kannte das Spiel nicht. Ich kannte es; habe es vor Jahren mal im Urlaub gespielt und war damals schon hellauf begeistert.Die Box ist aus einem leichtem Metall. Darin sind die Rummikubsteine und vier Rummikub-Aufsteller. Die Box lässt meines Erachtens nach sogar ein Erweiterungspack (mehr Rummikub-Steine) darin platz finden, da die Box zu 2/3 gefüllt ist und die Steine insgesamt recht klein sind.Die Anzahl der Steine sind für maximal vier Personen ausgelegt. Demnach sollte man, wenn man es in größerer Runde spielen möchte eher sich noch ein Erweiterungspack zulegen.Gespielt wird mit 14 Steinen pro Spieler. Jeder zieht nacheinander einen Stein. Sollte die Zahl bzw. Summe von 30 mit mindestens drei Steinen oder mehr mit seinen gezogenen Steinen erreicht werden können, kann der Spieler die Steine rauslegen. (z.B. 10 in Rot, 10 in schwarz, 10 in Blau oder eine Zahlenfolge 4,5,6 UND eine weitere 8,9,10 oder 10,11,12 in einer Farbe... )Ziel ist es, alle Steine entsprechend zu verbrauchen. Rummikub rufen, wenn ihr alle Steine abgelegt habt. ;)Interessant wird es dann, wenn viele Steine auf dem Spielfeld liegen und "manipuliert" werden kann. Der Kombinationen sind keine Grenzen gesetzt - zumal man auch Klever spielen muss, was man wie rauslegt.Rummikub ist vergleichbar mit dem Spiel Rommé.Für Unterwegs sehr gut geeignet, da durch die Metallbox sehr portabel. gut wäre noch eine Art "Klipp" an der Dose, dass es sicher und gut verschlossen ist. Der Deckel lässt sich doch recht leicht abnehmen und es besteht die Gefahr, dass sich die Box mal öffnet.Die Bewertung des Spielalters ab 7 finde ich etwas "früh" - hätte so spontan gesagt, ab 9 ist ein gutes Spielalter.Wie oben schon erwähnt; das Geschenk bzw. das Spiel kam sehr gut an und wir spielen es regelmäßig! Macht Spaß, fördert die Kreativität bezüglich der Steine und Kombinationen, die man legen kann und fördert vor allem auch die Birne und den Grips ;)Wir mögen es, sind begeistert und können es für diesen Preis absolut empfehlen!
