A well made good looking addition to the table. Works very well grinding to a fine powder that, dependant on the strength of your chilli's, gives a fiery kick. BUT, the chilli MUST be VERY DRY!! Cannot stress this enough. A lot of "dried" chills have a soft moist finish to them and are great for adding to dishes whilst cooking but if used in this mill will just mash and clog it up. I bought Ugandan Birds Eye chills through spicesontheweb.co.uk Great chills full of heat and flavour and moist with the natural chilli oil. Great but too moist so I spread them on a baking sheet and gently dried them in a very low oven for 40 mins then left them in the oven with just the fan running with no heat for a further 1.5 hours. When cooled they work fantastically well.

Read the reviews before buying this one. More expensive than others but well worth the extra.If grinds very finely and is easy to fill and use. I grew chillies, dried them and then struggled with what to do with them. This is ideal, I now grind my dried chillies on most of my meals. Slightly annoyed wife is a bonus.

I have purchased three of these Chilli Mills so far one for myself and the other two for gifts. The mill is made for use with dried chilli and I use whole, dried chilli in the mill and it works fine. I come from a family that loves cooking and loves chilli but we all like different degrees of heat so, this mill lets the "hotter" members of the family add their own degree of heat.It is a really attractive looking mill and looks good on the dinner table. The one thing that would have improved the item would be if it was battery powered (it's a twist and grind mill) but it works fine and to be honest it gives you more control over how much chilli you add. There is a neat little matching cover on the bottom which stops you getting ground chilli all over your table.This item is well made, looks good and it works.

I bought this as a present for my husband along with some dried Chilli pods and he loves it. It works really well with the small pods I bought and looks great. It cuts rather than grinds but they are still fine enough and definitely add a kick to any dish.

Starting with the good: amazing design, chili like shape of the container (does not feel like a glass but looks very well) , stainless steel feel of the main body. The cutting mechanism looks like being made of steel which is necessity to have the tool last long and well although the feeding mechanism is simple plastic- refer to the photos.The flakes i used did got clogged in the chopper, despite of being on the sun for 2 days and happily "rattleing" I the drying bag. So make sure you use oven dryer to rid off all the moist.I am so sorry to send it back, but unfortunately I had such a great expectations that I am simply not willing to compromise.Sadly going back.Technicians and designers, do the best to mitigate the above, you are onto something for sure, but not for me. Not yet.For me, this produck could have been simply amazing if there was no intention to safe cost (for the price I was expecting the best product) and perhaps more thoughts were put to the design.As mentioned by other reviews, filling the plastic holder fully to the rim, once you put the main body on the whole content simply dissappear in the feeder (I used home chopped chily - as pictured).The lid at the bottom (likely plastic) was so hard to take off that I spilled the content, so I guess needs to be off and use the chopper directly onto the meal ,rather than make some in advance as a buffer. But that might be just my flimsy hands and "incorrect" use.Design and technical team are onto something, mitigate the above and it will be worth of 5 stars even from me.Sadly, for now the product heads back to Amazon.

This is so good and works better than I thought it would. It cuts through the dried chillies so easily making it easy to add to anything you please. Really releases the flavour more than just slicing. So handy to have in the kitchen or at the table for those who prefer a little extra heat. Well worth buying.

This chilli grinder is a fabulous 'must have' for any kitchen / cook. It grinds the dried chilli of your choice (not included) to tiny, tiny flakes, which then bring a wonderful warmth to whatever you add it to, whether in cooking or on the finished meal. This is the third one I bought, one for me & two for friends who love it as much as I do.

This is the second one of these items I've purchased.It's an essential part of my kitchen and does it's job perfectly.If you like to add chilli to anything this is a must have item.The shape of the plastic section is (in my opinion) a little unnecessary, but it works fantastically well - even after two years of use.

Ho acquistato questo macina peperoncino come regalo di Natale. La persona che l'ha ricevuto è pienamente soddisfatta del prodotto.L'oggetto fa perfettamente il suo lavoro! Non lo consiglio a chi vuole ottenere una polvere di peperoncino perché trita in modo da ottenere dei piccolissimi pezzettini e io proprio questo cercavo.Acquistando dei comunissimi peperoncini secchi piccoli al supermercato ha da subito macinato benissimo.La forma è molto particolare (a forma proprio di peperoncino) e in cucina fa veramente una bellissima figura.Lo consiglio a tutti coloro che voglio avere qualcosa di particolare e divertente in cucina per conservare i peperoncini e anche per un gradito regalo.Super Soddisfatto!!!
