Works great exactly what I expected

Ok for 3018 work
These steel bars were mostly as advertised. My use needs very accurate grinding to work and these have visible scuffs and have to be machined to a lower diameter to be useful. The steel is uniform and well hardened. They appear to be some sort of stainless. Ends appear to be a bit malformed in the cutting process, making using them as a turning shaft cause for re machining them to exact fit. They would work for a 3018 project.

Made perfect axles
Used these rods to make axles for some DIY Heely type shoes. Bought the inserts from Amazon and then made some wheels from resin because I couldn’t find any I loved. Worked perfect, the size was consistently dead on with mics all the way down the length of both pieces.

Not true 8mm
This not a true 8mm rod. Its is not completely round and will not fit through the bearings that I have. It is pretty much useless if you need machine accuracy.
