Comes sharp and is well made for in the thirty to forty dollar range, truly a very spectacular knife. The scandi-grind is done perfectly and if you use a hand sharpener with a leather cover, just a bit of stropping and this work of art is shaving sharp. On top of that you get D2 steel at a bargain basement price. D2 is a decent budget steel that will hold an edge pretty well for a long time. For what you get at this price it will hold its own with a lot of the name brand bushcraft knives that sell for 3 to 4 times the cost of one of these little gems. The steel is thick and will hold up for years with just normal maintenance that you will have to perform for any knife you value and want to last. Having a strong background in camping and survival I am blown away every time I find an extreme deal for a tool that can help keep you alive in the back country.

The Odenwolf survavil knife is a very handy knife to have around when you’re out camping. It’s razor sharp and feels comfortable in the hand. I believe this knife can’t hold its own against any of the higher price brands.
