3C/4A Coily Hair Success
I'm black-biracial with type 3C/4A hair. I found this to be a fantastic shampoo that did wonders for my scalp. Using the double shampoo method works best for me; one quick shampoo and rinse to get any surface grease off, followed by another thorough shampoo to really work it into the scalp and hair. The second time requires much less shampoo because there's no build-up that clings to the soap. I wash my hair once (occasionally twice) a week. I've tried all manners of treatment for my dry, flaky scalp and I have extremely sensitive skin in general, so using harsher products only seemed to make things worse and completely dried out my hair in the process. I had great success with Clever Soap's Piroctone Olamine face wash and decided to give this a go. It's a lot more gentle on my scalp, doesn't leave any strong fragrances behind, and lasts a good long while. On top of that, I could see the effects less than a month into use. I have continued to purchase and will be doing so again once I've run out. My only gripe would be how similar the bottle looks to the face wash counterpart; there should definitely be better distinction visually between the two products. I've mistakenly used the shampoo on my face a couple times in the shower after placing the bottles next to eachother.

Noticeable results in a short space of time
I suffer from mild-moderate Psoriasis and I have super sensitive/reactive skin in general. I've never had any luck treating my plaque scales with regular medical grade shampoos because although they contain scientifically proven, effective ingredients to treat the condition (Salicylic Acid, Ketoconazole, Cetrimide etc etc) they also contain SLS and Parabens, which are known to cause issues in people with compromised skin. So, realistically you never really have a chance of it improving. Anyway, I have used this shampoo 3 times in total and so far I am blown away by the results. I'm not going to say it's made the problem completely disappear, but it has made a massive improvement in such a short time that it's noticeable. My itch/scratch cycle is nothing like it used to be; with other shampoos I was literally clawing at my head because they stripped all the natural oils away. My plaques are fading, less tight and sore, less angry looking in general. I have minimal amount of erm, scalp fall-out now (before it was really gross and sprinkled throughout my hair and on my clothes every time I moved... like I said, gross). I think this is made by a new(ish?) company so I'm really interested to see what they do in the future - crossing my fingers for them bringing out scalp treatments/serums, a 1% Salicylic Acid Shampoo and a SLS/Paraben free 2% Ketoconazole shampoo (I mean, hair growth stimulating and fungal nasties prevention, who doesn't want that?!). I'll be back for more in the mean time though. I never realised that getting rid of the SLS/Parabens would be such a game changer for me.

It’s okay
It’s a good shampoo but the active ingredient is not as effective as I’d hoped it would be. Perhaps because it’s not strong enough, or perhaps the ingredient is not what my scalp needs. I can’t say for certain. It cleanses very well and does not strip the hair too much.

Great for flaky itchy scalp
2nd purchase of this product. It is brilliant for getting rid of flaky, itchy scalp. Very good for my hair.

Effective
Clears up my dandruff that flares up from frequent exercise when alternative anti dandruff shampoos fail

Didn’t help seborrheic dermatitis
Didn’t really do anything for seborrheic dermatitis though if you just have some mild dry or itchy skin could be good as a preventative

Very highly recommend!!
I have seen a dermatologist for years been given prescriptions for ointment and shampoo for my seb-derm. I first tried the face wash and moisturize which worked brilliantly and my face hasn't completely cleared up yet but I've only just started using it and already it's better than any prescription had been. So I did an experiment with my prescription shampoo and this one (ok this sounds unhygienic but...) with the prescription shampoo it gets irritated and itchy within a day or two after washing. With this shampoo it took an entire week for my scalp to start getting irritated and itchy again. That was after the first time using it! I am now using it regularly and 100% worth the price this is all I use now the shampoo the face wash and moisturiser for my neck upwards. Would love for there to be a Conditioner and maybe a full body wash too!

This actually made things worse for me.
I have to use quite a lot to get my hair clean, and it doesn't lather very well. It's not great for oily scalps and has actually made my scalp itchier than before.
