This has really helped by keeping patient turned with no pressure on the buttocks. Just a side note, patient wasn't getting enough nutrition. When we got finally got her protein intake increased, we started seeing the bed sore heal. And it has stayed healed with supplemental protein and keeping her positioned with this pillow. (no one ever told us to give extra protein for wound healing until we spoke with a nutritionist. Now we know how important it is because it made all the difference for us)

I bought this wedge to promote healing of my husband’s sacral bedsore. The wedge is too long and my husband says it is not comfortable and begins to sink after an hour or so. Ended up using the long wedge to keep his heels elevated. The smaller wedge is being used to slightly turn him on his side.

Do not waste your money!!! this thing is flat and does not offer comfort or is not able to be used for positioning bed sores. I bought is a as Christmas gift for my Mom. it came shrink wrapped and I thought once I opened it, it would expand. However, it remained flat and useless.

This product provided the help for which it was purchased. It helped provide side support for my wife, who is confined to a hospital bed, from her only having to be on her back. The little wedge also helped to provide relief in other areas, such as supporting her feet from rubbing on the sheet.

After giving this a good chance, my husband who has dementia and needs to remain on his side when he sleeps, was able to roll back and hence wiggling over. I like the open design, just not firm enough and it would do better if there was a way to tie to the hospital bed rails. Too expensive to just toss aside. I will be returning this item.
