Korean Lip Oil - Applepeony - pH Color-Changing Plumping Lip Gloss

I found it a little too watery at first, and the Appleplum shade looked almost clear, so I wasn’t sure about it. Then I decided to give it another try, and I absolutely love it! The appleplum shade actually adjusts to my lips, and after a few moments it transforms into the prettiest bright pink. The color looks amazing on me and instantly makes my face look fresher and more youthful. It also makes my lips look noticeably fuller and very juicy. The shine is absolutely beautiful! It’s not sticky and very lightweight too. One important tip: you really don’t need to apply much! The first time I applied too much, it felt too watery and started to run. With just a small amount, it looks perfect and gives such a beautiful glossy finish. The second oil, Appleberry, doesn’t change the color of my lips, but it has a lovely tint and stains the lips very well too. I’m glad I gave this lip oil a second chance!

I’ve been disappointed by viral products a lot of times, so I didn’t have high expectations for this one. It was already affordable, and I found it on sale, so I decided to give it a try anyway. The tube is simple and minimal, and the size is truly tiny. I was a little surprised by how small it looked when I first received it, but I actually appreciate that it isn’t unnecessarily oversized. Some lip products are in bulky tubes that make them look like they contain more product than they actually do. This one is compact, and easy to carry. My lips are naturally very dry, with plenty of dry patches and lip lines. This lip oil adds a healthy-looking flush of color, makes my lip lines look much less noticeable, and gives my lips a hydrated, glass-like shine. The formula feels lightweight and moisturizing without being sticky or heavy, and it glides on smoothly. Even after wiping it off with a tissue, a beautiful stain remains. I was also surprised that some of the hydration and subtle shine were still there. The scent is another thing I love. It has a soft, pleasant fruity fragrance that isn’t overpowering. I bought appleberry and appleplum. Appleberry looks like my natural lip color but with a healthier, more lively tint. It’s the one I’ll probably reach for most often because it’s so easy to wear every day. Appleplum gives my lips a juicy, fresh look. It leaves behind a vibrant pink stain, but it isn’t overly bright or neon—it’s just a really pretty pink. The color also lasts impressively well, even after eating. One layer is perfect for my personal preference, but you can build it up for a deeper color. I like that you can adjust the intensity depending on how much color you want. For the price, I’m extremely happy with these. I wish I had bought them sooner. Now I feel like everyone else was already enjoying something amazing while I was late to the party. I’ll definitely be repurchasing.

I really do think this is a great product. The formula is nice and smooth. It glides on as a transparent slight tinge of color lip gloss and then the color deepens to like a bright pink color. I’m sure it’s different for everyone depending on pH or something right? That part I’m not sure. But I got the trio with Appleberry Appleplum and Applefig. They look different on the box and slightly different on the bottle but they all leave the same color on my lips. It does last very long but you will have to reapply if you eat something. I don’t plan on returning because I can just give the other two away but yeah I won’t be buying any more shades unless I run out. The lack of shade difference is the only reason for deducting a star but I would give it like a 4.5/5.

Love this! I've used other lip stains that actually dry out my lips, and triggers a small patch of exzema on my upper lip. This lip oil stain does a great job and my lips are not dry at all! I love the way the color develops and it really hangs in there. The photos show my lips before using the oil, immediately after applying, 5 minutes after application, and 5 hours later after coffee and lunch. Pretty pale after that 5 hours, but not totally gone, if you compare to the first photo. I'll be purchasing another to keep at work to refresh after lunch!

I've tried several shades in this lip oil line (Appleberry, Appleblacktea, Applecherry, Apple Cranberry, and Appleginseng), and while they all have slightly different ingredient blends and scents, they behave very similarly on the lips. The base formula across all of them is consistent, lightweight, and like a gloss and oil hybrid that leans more cosmetic gloss than hydrating oil treatment. Each version does include different extracts (berry, cherry, cranberry, ginseng, etc.), but the biggest thing to note is that they all develop into a very similar bright pink stain after application. The initial tint may look different in the tube, but once it settles, the end result is nearly identical across all shades. I was especially excited for Appleblacktea and it wound up being irritating with the capsicum pepper extract in its formula, and it turns the same hot pink shade on my lips, looking nothing like the cool toned purple it appears as in its tube. None of them have a super flattering shade on me. Several versions / flavors include plumping or stimulating ingredients like ginger or capsicum (pepper), which can cause a warming or tingling sensation. Appleblacktea was a bit too irritating for my lips, personally, so those with sensitivity may want to check the ingredient list closely. If you're choosing between shades, I'd recommend focusing more on the scent and ingredient profile rather than expecting dramatically different colors. All the shades look similar on the lips, so you don't really need more than one. Of the ones I've tried, Appleberry seems to have the most botanical oils and fragrance, Appleblacktea has chili pepper for extra tingling and plumping, Applecherry is loaded with peptides, Apple Cranberry is a bunch of fruit extracts and a slight tingle from ginger oil, and Appleginseng is the same base formula with ginseng added in. It is an okay fruity gloss, but worth understanding that they all turn a "universal hot pink" type of shade rather than giving a tint similar to what you see in the tube.

My new favorite lip oil. It doesn't feel sticky, juat moisturizing. Provides nice shine but when it absorbs or rubs off it leaves behind a pink stain so your lips still look pretty until you reapply. The staining even aster overnight and I could see a subtle color in the morning which was excellent. My only criticism is the bottle is small and not sure how it will last with daily use.

I teetered between giving this 3 or 4 stars. It ultimately got 4, because I do love the how it feels on. They make my lips feel hydrated and look great, when most everything else makes my them feel dry. However, I got 3 very different shades (Applewine, Appleplum, and Appleberry) and every single one of them turns the exact same shade of hot pink. It’s not a bad color, I’m just not a big pink girl and really wanted the red, coral, and wine tints they appear in the tubes.

I just bought this product and really like it so far! It's more moisturizing than I expected and has a very light pleasant scent (fruity-floral). It's not sticky which is great. I used a very light swipe in the second picture (black shirt), it moisturized and lightly tinted, so light that I wasn't sure it left any colour at all until I washed my face at night and realized my make-up remover was taking off pink from my lips! Day two, I put it on much heavier and it's very obviously brighter but still in the realm of natural lip shade, just heightened. With a thicker application, the scent is stronger and feels weightier on the lips (but still not sticky!!). I also tested a swatch on the back of hand to see the shade and how long it would take to lose the gloss and become more of a lip stain. It absorbs slowly over a few hours, leaving the colour and a very light gloss but with a minor sheen, more like cherry Chapstick, and still feeling very moisturized. With all the test applications, the shade took a few minutes to really activate (perhaps body temperature or pH plays a role?) so I'd suggest starting with an almost dry applicator and layering so you can find the shade and amount of product that works for you. I would reapply after eating but I haven't worn for a full 8-12 hours yet. I recommend this product if you're looking for something moisturizing, low maintenance, variable transparency options, stain-like look after a few hours. Not a good match for a long-lasting high shine, super bright shade, or totally transparent. It also swatched brighter on my hand vs my lips on day one, so definitely do a test drive and play with the amount of product on your lips before committing to it as part of your look! Best surprise: very moisturizing, even with very dry chapped lips Worst surprise: different shades, a bit unpredictable (I actually like this and find it fun, and I don't mind a super bright shade if it goes that way but I think most people would be put off by that)

It’s so good, it doesn’t give the sticky feeling in my lips and it keeps the color looks natural.
