I consider this one of the best kitchen items I've ever purchased. I steam veggies all the time, and have been frustrated with all the "lotus style" stainless steel ones I've used for decades. Those always break, and are very awkward to use and remove from the pot - and veggies always fall into the water. This Caraway steamer fits perfectly on top of my 8 quart Caphalon stainless steel stock pot with the lid on top. Steaming is a breeze. It lifts out easily to allow me to pour out the remaining water. Super easy to clean. And best of all, it's non-toxic. I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but it's well worth it. Very happy I made this investment. No more cursing!

Nice small steamer to fit into a sauce pan. The steamer pot has a coating on it.

this is the ONLY cookware to have. we bought a whole set and it is unbelieveable, noting sticks to it. cleans up like nothing else.
