Crater 3000 or Pax 2?
I researched this thoroughly and compared all of the portable pocket options. I tried a Pax 3, great to use but very expensive & i just don't need the ability to tweak a wealth of options from an app, making the cheaper Pax 2 an option. Storz & Bickel range is quality, but also expensive for the pocket-model you'd actually want (around £255) as their smallest & cheaper pocket offering reportedly has short battery life.Considering battery life, build quality, cost and user reviews it came down to Crater 3000 (it conveniently charges via USB cable - I didn't want the Crater deluxe/professional as it charges on a dock thing) or Pax 2. Both are similar design, both excellent build quality, very similar to use, Pax has a 10year guarantee, Crater a lifetime guarantee, with user reviews very good for both, i chose to save £70 and get the Crater 3000 and i am very pleased with it. It is well worth following all instructions & guides learning how to use it to its best potential.

Not worth the money
To get the full use out of your Crater 3000 you have to clean it immediately after every use.Luckily the vapour you get off your herb is so pitiful that you'll be more than crisp enough to run your pipe cleaner (£2.99) through it, lubricate the mouthpiece (£5.99), change the screens (£6.99 (for three!)) and wipe off any excess residue with their alcohol wipes (£7.99).You can buy this all on their website!Of course you don't HAVE to constantly clean it. But if you don't - it soon wont work and you'll void your warrantee. You also need to fill the chamber to the brim at every use otherwise it wont work. So if you want exactly the same quantity every time you vape then this is the perfect product for you. Also if you like having three quarters of your herb completely wasted then its ideal. In conclusion: Don't waste your money on this product. You'll probably get more out of crushing up your herb and rubbing it on your bare nipples than trying to use this abomination of a dry herb vaporiser.

Great portable vape
So far I've been pretty impressed with this device so I thought I would leave a review detailing the pros and cons I have found so far.To start, I have owned the Crater 3000 (USB) for about three weeks; this is my first portable vape and my previous experience of vaping is using a friends desktop unit and an Iolite (butane powered vape)I chose the Crater over the Iolite because I wanted quiet operation of the unit which the Iolite, using butane, does not offer. I also wanted a degree of control over the temperature being used which the Crater offered. My first impression of the unit is that it is sturdily built and has a premium feel to it. The mouthpiece extends without much friction (lubricant is included if it starts to become a bit 'sticky') and the magnetic oven cover sits flush in the unit. I can't help but feel that the magnetic cover could do with something else to secure it but I have yet to have issue with it.Using the unit has been enjoyable; very little, if any, visible vapor is left when exhaling which makes me happy that it is producing an efficient amount of vapor. You can see vapor if you pull into your mouth and blow out without inhaling.... but why would you do that? ^_^I did notice that the standby setting kicks in a bit too soon, for my liking, and the motion sensor does not seem to be sensitive enough to always detect that I am still using it; a quick sharp shake soon gets it going again. It can take quite a vigorous shake to invoke the battery indicator. It should be noted that it takes a little bit of practice to get used to the operation of the device, with the instructions guidance of short 'sips' with time between to build up vaporOverall this is a fantastic product and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in aromatherapy and wants a portable solution.

... 3000 for over a month now i am totally satisfied. It does exactly what it sais
So after using crater 3000 for over a month now i am totally satisfied. It does exactly what it sais. It's very compact and descreet literally fits in your hand. For first time user i could describe the high more uplifting and clear when vaping instead of smoking which feels more stony. The battery is really durable and lasts enough so you can really feel safe when you go out.Good quality productreally happy with my purchase

Worst thing ever ..... DO NOT BUY
I bought this with high hopes, it’s a pax clone and looked almost identical, the similarities ended there. No vapour no matter how it was packed. Seemed to just produce copious residue inside and that was all. I purchased the q7s pen after and it is like night and day (and less than half the price). DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I have sent back and been refunded

It's really nice vaporiser with a perfect build quality
I've received free upgrade to Crater Deluxe, so I review it. It's really nice vaporiser with a perfect build quality. For few days I wasn't able to get a good smoke but I did some research online and... the secret is extra fine grinding and packing oven tightly, then it works! I love it!

Great product but doesn't replace other resources available
Great product which is extremely discreet so can be used anywhere. It doesn't have the same impact as other resources available but is great for continual use to 'scratch an itch'. Also makes ingredients last longer and is not an offensive intake so occasional users will find it a more pleasant option. No vape comes from using this which people might find odd but once you get your head around that it's a great bit of kit. Would definitely recommend to others, and have convinced a few to look into buying one (",)

Crater 3000
Promptly delivered.Initially wondered if this was worth persevering with but soon got the hang of it and completely satisfied with this product. A friend has a similar product but at more than twice the price and superficially could see very little difference.Well worth the £100.
