TonGass Universal Fit Pool Pump Motor Cover 13.1" x 8.5" x 8.3"

Good cover for our motor. Little hard to put together, but covers the motor well. Recommend for all who have an exposed motor.

This is a great product. It was very easy to install and it’s very sturdy.. It is terrible definitely water resistant.. it fit well over my pump and it keeps pump safely covered.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose this product because it is a light color and should reflect the hot sun. I will say that it doesn't go together easily. The first side I had to use a rubber mallet, the second side I applied a light grease to the edge that slides in and it went in with ease.

Needed to cover the pool pump to help expand its life. This works. It was also easy to install.

This cover is hard to assemble. I had to get a drilling hammer out and patiently tap the sides on the sliders until assembled. If you try to push with your hands you could easily scrape or cut yourself. The assembled cover does not fit over my variable speed pump, I kind of had to mash it on top. The plastic has cutouts if you had a hammer and awl, you could punch them out but I’m not going to try that because they would not likely come out easily. Overall, it’s not perfect, but it gets the job done keeping my new pump clean and dry from Florida rains and sprinklers. So this item gets 3 stars and I’m keeping it.

Pairs perfectly with the Rinoson salt chlorinator! The plastic seems a little flimsy when putting it together, but once together it's pretty sturdy. Good vented cover for the price.

I was not as concerned with this entirely being made of plastic as I was that this had no assembly instructions. Once I figured out how to put it together I went to put it on my pump and realized that this was basically useless. Other than direct rainfall (straight up and down - no wind) the only thing it protected the pump from was direct sunlight. I am pretty handy, so I made a much better cover that actually protects against rain and sun for less than $20. If I could take this apart, I would return it, but once it is together it's stuck. REALLY NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

Product is very simple to put together. No tools, no hassle. I had to make a slight modifications as the knockout plugs were too far forward on the side panel for my power (BX cable) supply to motor. See Pic attached. Again, no hassle. Highly recommend if you want to protect your motor from all day sun, especially if it's a new motor installation as in my case.

This keeps the sun from beating down on your motor and making it hotter than it should be. It is easy to install – however it is difficult to put it together as the plastic tends to stick and requires muscle. Add the product with a towel and use a solid construction board to gently tap the sides into place. You may also need some oil to help it slide more easily.
