The back part of the flat that is scrunched doesn’t rub my ankles or back of my feet in any way. These flats stay on my feet despite being lightweight. They sort of form / mold to my feet perfectly. I feel like I’m not even wearing them. The inner sole is a soft brushed fabric and I wish it were a bit thicker but then again, these aren’t meant to be your everyday walking flats. They are meant to be worn for short periods of time and not out in the elements. Looking at them from afar, you can’t really tell (at least not for me) that they are cheap-y and slipper-like, they look like normal flats. I like that they don’t look like slippers but just ballet/ballerina flats. I really love the color and will be purchasing a few more pairs in other colors. The drawstring pouch that they can be stored in once they are folded is the same material as the flats (so again, not the best quality) but it is the perfect size to carry with you / pack along and it isn’t bulky nor does it take up much space. Perfect for a carryon! I also will be packing a pair of these in black color just in case my luggage gets lost (yes, I check my bag, I am an overpacker) and I don’t have access to my regular flats.
