I purchased this as I wanted to keep the glass top of my new oven in good condition and if keep putting dishes on top of it it will be scratched.Its fire proof and perfect size to cover glass lid and as I have choice of colour even better.Its well made and excellent quality nice and thick easy to clean and very nice green matches by kitchen blinds.May be dearer than same but you get what you pay for and quick free delivery

Decent quality material. Easy to wipe down and keep clean. Great for protecting the glass hob from scratches or inadvertent object drops. Could probably benefit from being a bit thicker or having some sort of padding for added protection - I don't think it would stand up to somebody passing and dropping a prosseco bottle over it for example. However, for day to day protection, it has performed very well now for several months....

Having a new range cooker delivered to our derelict kitchen (soon to be renovated!) this cover fitted perfectly and protects the ceramic hob and gives us a bit of temporary work top space.

I received this item and it looks good and decent. But when 3 minutes after cooking I put it on top of my oven and touched it - I burned my hand it was as hot as the stove without anything on it. I don’t understand why other reviews are good…I had electric oven which is shown on the photo of this cover here

Great for keeping my ceramic hob covered and stop being accidentally turned on when not in use.Have put down straight after use and creates more space for preparing food before cooking

I bought this product to place on top of my hob when it’s hot, as I have cats and worry about them walking across the hob and burning their feet.Not only does this not make a single bit of difference to that situation because the cover gets red hot, just like the hob underneath, I just had a situation where the rim of the product melted under the heat - it started smoking, smells terrible, and I now have it stuck to my hob, so trying to get it off!!!!This is wholly unfit for purpose and in fact extremely dangerous.The only advice I have is DO NOT BUY to put on hot hobs - it’s only ok as a cover once the hob is cold or cool.

Looks great and works like a charm and am so Glad I went with this versus a noodle board. Provides protection when stove is not in use and adds additional kitchen counter work space. Protects surface from scratches and simple and easy to move. Cleans up nicely for drips and spills from microwave too.

Loved the clean look this creates in my white kitchen. Wipes up easily or spray off in sink.

Product functioned as advertised! It is FIREPROOF! When the element was accidentally turned on it did not catch fire, it smouldered, as did the bean bag that was on the mat, setting off the smoke detector. The mat is severely scorched and I have ordered a new one to replace it. To answer to other reviewers - Yes it does transfer heat if the element is on or still hot and would not prevent a burn. But the burn will not be to the degree that it would be if you touched the element! Some reviewers state they bought it to protect pets and children. We have those also. One way or another, it is up YOU to educate your child that a stove can be very hot! It is not up to a company to bubble wrap the stove and/or your child because you're neglectful! As for pets, we have two cats. They are trained to stay off counters including the stove for sanitary and safety reasons. You don't want them jumping on the counter when you're using your cutting board! A good tool to assist with this training is a scat mat(s).

The severe flaw is if you have a touch activated stovetop it can still be turned on even with this on top of it which is dangerous. I have cats so the entire point of buying this was to prevent that. It also moves very easily so I have to place items on top of it to keep it on. I'll be experimenting with these issues because it's a hassle to return.The positives are that it's a good size for a 2 burner cook top and does seem to handle heat well.
