Review: Does what it says on the tin - It's not too loud and works as advertised. It's funny how the manual suggests how these can be used on people. I wonder how many people bought it for that reason.
Review: Works for Us - VOLUME: I have a 5 month old Jackahua and this appears to be perfect for us. It is a softer click, good for inside an apartment or a small courtyard. I would not recommend it for a larger dog park or in an environment with competing noises. HOLDING: I included a pic of how I hold it, as some reviewers reported difficulty. Strap on middle finger, press thumb straight down towards middle finger. This is my arthritic hand and it works well. INSTRUCTIONS: DO follow the enclosed instructions; they are competent and helpful. Do NOT just run around clicking this AT your dog or you will be here whining that it doesn't work. The fault will be yours. REVIEWS: I looked at so many different clickers, reading the reviews, comparing prices, and I'm glad I decided on this one. PROGRESS: Since we just got it today, we are simply working on "association". I'm keeping it next to me with a dish of crumbled treats. When she's not paying attention to me, I'll click and toss her a crumb. She's a little leery of the strange noise, but she really loves these treats (Blue Buffalo), so I'm aiming for a little association practice a few times a day until she gets it into her little doggy brain than the sound means tasty thing. When she's perfectly comfortable with that, we'll move on to "touch", etc.

**Q: work for cats?**
A: Hi Stephanie, this clicker was designed for dogs, but can work with all different types of animals depending on their temperament and willingness to learn. It may work for a cat, but it depends on the cat.

**Q: How does it make them obey**
A: THIS is how one trains killer whales.  IT is far easier for an animal to understand the consistency of a "click" than to decipher "yes, good boyyyyyy" and "Yeah, that is it!" and "Good doggie" and so on, to US? those words of praise all seem about the same? but, to an animal? a plain ol "click" to indicate, "yes, THAT right, THAT Is exactly what i want you to do!"   Clicks are just easier for an animal to listen for and understand.  It is all positive.
DO GOOGLE "clicker training" before you begin.  It is pretty easy to do, but, it can be messed up.  THE MOST COMMON MISTAKE most humans make while training Any animal, is, the human tries to make the lesson last wayyyyyy too long.  Animals, especially beginners, have SHORT ATTENTION SPANS, so keep lessons short, like 5 minutes long, and end on positive note.  END THE LESSON BEFORE Your pet zones out or gets frustrated.  FIVE MINUTES is plenty.  YOu can repeat the lesson later on as often as you want, but, keep each session short and quick, because animals needs breaks, they do.
and absolutely NO SCOLDING,  none. POsitive only.  
Every click gets a treat, and keep treats TINY, ya don't want a full or fat animal.    MAIN THING TO REMEMBER: IF YOU AND THE PET ARE NOT BOTH HAVING FUN? you are doing it wrong.  IT is FUN above all else, for both of you.

**Q: I need a loud clicker so my cat can hear it when he is outside do you think he can hear this one?**
A: This makes a very soft click.  If you need a hard click (loud click), go with a box clicker like those made by The Clicker Company (Doggone Good).  The teardrop clickers are medium clicks which I like for inside my house.  For outdoors or in large indoor spaces I like the box clickers.  This product is quite soft, so I would use it with my little dog when training up close (if I have to click next to his head, for instance) indoors.

A: Yes, it definitely clicks.  If you're asking about training your dog , then yes, it works..  Read up on and  follow clicker training methods.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good dog clicker but hard to click

(I'm a woman, so I don't have man strength in my hands.) While this clicker does work for dog training, it is actually a bit hard to click on the button. It will go down but it does (mine anyway) require a bit of strength and to push on it a certain way. It does free up my hand so that I can also hold a leash or if I needed my hands partially free for anything. The green loop on the back is a little bit too loose but it's not a big deal. It is good deal for the money but I would get a different brand if I had to get another one.
