Excellent solution to extremely dry mouth at night
I take a medication that leaves me almost choking in the middle of the night due to severe lack of saliva. I used to wake up in a panic, not anymore. I use these Xylimelts every night, and I’m thrilled with them. I have never had a problem with them sticking. They adhere quickly to my gums and stay there for hours. Having these has made nighttime sleep so much better. I have tried every flavor and I like them all. I especially enjoy the light cinnamon flavor, it’s not too strong, just a hint of cinnamon flavor. I buy them in the 100 pack bottle for home, and in the smaller pack for travel. I will never be without them ever again. Add on top of that the fact that xylitol is proven to prevent tooth decay, they are a staple in my nightstand. I highly recommend these Xylimelts every night!!!!

A must for Sjogrens dry mouth
These melts are the best product I've found for my Sjogrens dry mouth. They adhere to my teeth or gums pretty well and last about 4 hours for me at night.

They work! I'm happy with them.
Apparently it's hard to get them to stick when your mouth is so dry you can't talk or swallow, but after holding them in place and repositioning them several times they finally stuck and stayed on all night. When I woke up several time during the night (common problem) my mouth was moist and the disc was still working. I'm very please with them. Also, they were recommended by my sister-in-law and when I told her that I bought the cinnamon ones, she said cinnamon sounded like it would be too strong; however, the cinnamon flavor is very mild and subtle.

Cost more - but works better than most
These melts stick to your gums so that you can lick them as needed. No need to constantly be sucking on a mint or other mouth moisturizer. I use a CPAP at night and will put one on the roof of my mouth when I go to sleep. I’ve never had one slip or get anywhere near my throat. It helps prevent a dry mouth in the night. Once you have attached one, leave it in place because it doesn’t attach as well when repositioning. Again, higher price, but you do get more benefit.

Xylimelts
"Xylimelts - I have dry mouth from what I thought was a new medication. I stopped the medication about two weeks ago and it has not improved. I am continuing to use these until I follow up with my doctor. At first I tried these using one disk and it did not seem to work. I tried them again using two and it works a lot better. So, I now use these two disks at a time. If I use them at night, they seem to last about 4 hours. If i use them during the day, they last about 30 minutes. The effects do not last all that long during the day but I do also use Act lemon lozenges. The package says that you can put them on the gums but I put them on the roof of my mouth. I have had no issues getting any of them to stick. Flavors - At my local stores the only flavor is mint. It is way too strong. Using the mint ones would irritate my mouth after a while. Unfortunately, that seems to be the only flavor that most dry mouth products are.....mint. So my quest began to locate products that are not mint. I found these here on Amazon. They come in multiple flavors. Here is my breakdown of the flavors and my thoughts on each. Mild mint (4*) - Better than the regular mint but still mint. It is as described and the mint is not as strong. Slightly Sweet (5*) - Probably my favorite alternative to the mint. They are exactly as described. The have a slightly sweet flavor. It is not overwhelming. Berry (5*) - This was a nice change. It again is a slight berry flavor. Not overpowering or overwhelming. Cinnamon (1*) - This is probably my least favorite. The flavor was ok (it tastes like a very mild fireball) but it didn't seem to lubricate very much and after it was gone it felt like my mouth was drier than before. Orange (4*) - It has a pleasant orange flavor. Sensitive/unflavored - I have not tried this one yet. I probably will not. The reviews of the change in adhesive makes me leary to try it."

Better than Mint
Mint makes my nose drip. The taste is very mild and easier to use than the mint which are really strong. This is my third bottle. I love them as nd my mouth stays moist.

So it’s not the product it was the user of the product
So this was recommended to me about my Dentist. However, I didn’t care for it. The cinnamon taste wasn’t to my liking. And the way that it sticks on your teeth I didn’t like. My dentist office said that people either like them or they don’t. And they find that most people like them.

The XyliMelts… melt
I was encouraged to purchase these by my dental hygienist for severe dry mouth. After 20+ years on opioid treatment for chronic pain, I learned that an additional side effect is severe dry mouth (like opioids needed another side effect!). I was therefore encouraged to get these and adhere one to the inside of my mouth before going to bed. While these “adhering disks” do work— just having them in your mouth encourages saliva production— I had a couple of issues with them. One is personal, in that I can always taste (and dislike) the artificial sweetener. I know that the company says that Xylitol is a natural sweetener, but it has never tasted natural to me. A bigger issue for anyone using these at night is that, as their name implies, XyliMelts do indeed melt. When I would wake up in the morning, I wouldn’t have dry mouth. I would, however, have a mouth full of xylitol-sludge. The disk, combined with the saliva I was now producing, would have softened while I slept, and become a thick, soft, unpleasant mass. So yes, it worked, and I continued salivating all night. But I’m sorry, dental hygienist, but no. I will not sleep with one ever again.
