Pelican Air 1535 Case With Foam (Black)

As a controls engineer who frequently travels to different projects, the Pelican Air 1535 has been an invaluable companion. It fits all my tools and necessary equipment, and after more than 100 flights, it still performs very well. It has scratches and some deeper scuffs due to airline handling, but it has never been seriously damaged, which speaks to its durability. I like its lightweight yet sturdy design, and the fact that it is approved as carry-on luggage makes traveling much easier. One aspect that could be improved is the wheels: when walking and turning slightly, the suitcase tends to tilt and loses some stability. I suppose this is inevitable with heavy-duty wheels. If you plan to transport tools like I do, I recommend buying it without foam, since unless you’re carrying cameras or delicate equipment, the foam ends up stored away in the closet. Overall, the Pelican Air 1535 is robust, reliable, and perfect for professionals who need to protect their equipment during frequent travel.

Awesome case. My only regret is that I didn't spring for the insert system instead of the foam. For the extra $50 or so, the inserts are infinitely adjustable so you can reconfigure as you change your gear over the years. The "Pick and Pluck" foam allows you to get down to 1/4" increments, but once you've made the openings, you'll have to buy new foam inserts in the future. I also bought the lid storage. It's a must have in order to hold all of the accessories like filters, batteries, lens cleaning kits, and other items. At first I thought that there wouldn't be enough room to close the top, but there are two layers of top foam. Take one out and you have room for the storage layer. This is probably by design. As far as construction - it is legendary, and I looked at some of the competition - Don't bother. This is the gold standard. It has wheels and is acceptable for all airline carry-on. I haven't tried it yet, but it is the same size as my regular carry-on luggage that I fly with.

Great travel tool case at a cheaper price than what you can buy from pelicans website. Very durable and easy to customize. I purchased foam and an organizer separately to make this my personal traveling tool box. Built well and is backed by pelicans lifetime warranty. The bright orange makes it easy to spot at the airport baggage claim.

Couldnt possibly say enough positive things about the Pelican Brand and this case in particular. After two trips to Japan and a trip to Taiwan in the last year this thing has held up remarkably. Fits perfectly in the overhead and travels easily with the rollers. I have never felt more secure when traveling with camera gear. Highly reccomend this case for anyone who travels with any sensitive equipment. Great product!

If you are purchasing a rugged carrying case such as made by Pelican or one of its knock-offs, think long and hard before you choose Pick N'Pluck foam. Now, in some cases that may be all that is offered, but the Pick N'Pluck foam does not hold up **AT ALL** with any object that is inserted and removed regularly. I have already ordered solid foam from a third party vendor, because Pelican only offered only Pick N'Pluck with the iM2700.

I think I will continue to purchase the air versions of all the cases! The weight differnece is huge and they are just as durable. I dropped this case off the top of my roof getting it out of my basket with about 10 grand of camera gear in it and barley even scratched!!! pelican all day!

this was a perfect case for a rafting trip i went on, it was easy access to grab the camera when i needed it and when there was danger or water intrusion i just closed the case and it kept everything dry and safe. Ive only used this item for one trip so i will adjust if something fails in the future.

So far, so good! Recommended by a friend, I bought this to store my Nikon camera lenses. Although I have only had it a couple of days, it is a rugged case and should hold up under extreme conditions. Hits the wallet a bit but not near as much as replacing a camera lens. Thanks Pelican!

Súper práctica, ligera y de buen material, la uso como banco para sentarme mientras trabajo y le caben varias cosas. Recomendable al 100% 👍🏻 estoy pensando en comprar una más ;)
