I've used berberine in the past with negligible results. I did not use it for steadying blood glucose levels, but I tried it for weight loss. In the beginning I thought it was effective but as time went on I became discouraged with its weight loss benefits.This particular berberine product is substantially more effective. It arrived in an envelope, 30 capsules. The directions suggest one to three capsules a day with food. I only take one capsule a day and it is most definitely decreasing my urge for afternoon snacking. I also seem to have more energy (which may be due to the weight loss, although it is minimal at this point). I will continue to take the capsules. There is no aftertaste, they are easy swallow, and I feel a definite incrase in energy. In these days of quick loss GLB drugs it's refreshing to see a product that is effective but allows weight loss at a rate that does not adversely affect things such as your facial contours. I also believe that side effects with this product are minimal, if not nonexistent. If you want to safety lose weight, I urge you to try this.

I've tried various brands of berberine for years for the purported benefits. I like that this offering from Folius Labs is GMP certified, lab tested and contains zero fillers - just the berberine and the vegetable capsule. The lack of fillers and colorings and such is apparent in the capsules themselves, as they are not packed to the brim since they don't contain all the additives. Dont be put off by that, it's a feature rather than a bug. One thing I will note is many berberine supplements I've used in the past added pepper to aid in absorption. That is not included here. Also of note is that a 3 capsule serving is a significant 1500mg of berberine. I would recommend starting with 1 capsule, progressing to 2 and then up to 3 to monitor for any adverse GI symptoms. The pills didn't have a strong aftertaste but there is some, and I attribute that to the fact that it doesn't contain a bunch of fillers, flavorings, additives, etc. I like this product.
