I absolutely love these Kitsch banana clips! They're lightweight but feel really sturdy, and they hold my hair securely without pulling or causing headaches. I have medium to thick hair, and they keep everything in place throughout the day while still being comfortable to wear. I also love that they come in both black and tortoise, so they match just about any outfit. They're perfect for quick everyday hairstyles or when I want to throw my hair up without using a regular claw clip. The quality is great, and they feel much more durable than other banana clips I've tried. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a cute, easy, and reliable hair accessory!

I love the banana clips, so 5 stars, BUT plastic breaks easily. I wear one every day. My hair is medium thick. The first one broke at the hinge after one month of daily use. The second one broke at the clasp this morning after about a month of daily use. I wish someone made these in metal heavy duty.

So, I had been wanting to try banana clips for a bit and purchased these. At first the quality seems really good! I have thin hair but a lot of it, and it held it up nicely. Sometimes there some slippage since my hair is just a subtle wave and very smooth, but it’s such a low effort style I don’t mind. I had them since early July and one of them fell apart not even a month later. The halves are held together by a T shaped pin, so it is very possible for it to slip out with very consistent use. I used these about 3 days out of a week. With the tortoise one, I am just keeping an eye on the pin before I put the clip in and after I take it out. Kitsch has other great products but I would probably look around more for a banana clips if I were you. I am going to try the Goody brand one. Disappointed.

These clips are a thick plastic, definitely not cheap feeling or like they'll easily break like the traditional banana clip style. There is a matte coating on them that I fear will wear off with time. It's already happening on the clasp area where the two pieces rub against each other. I have long, straight, thin, smooth hair, so it does fall easily and my hair doesn't fully fill it out. It holds well with some texture spray but I think it would work best on someone with thicker hair than me at least, which isn't saying much lol

It says it works for thick hair and it does NOT. I have thick wavy hair. The only time I could get this to stay in my hair was if I had my hair pin straight with no humidity, and even then it would unlock several times throughout the day. Disappointed.

I've worn this to work, the gym, running errands--all over and I love these. They're durable and hold my hair in place. I have pretty dense hair, so I was a bit worried that my hair wouldn't fit, but these work great!

I have really thick hair so it’s hard for me to find clips that actually hold it. This banana clip is amazing and so perfect! It holds all my hair. It’s so easy to use. I love the colors of the clips too. I love that I got 2 of them in the pack for this price. So far they have been very durable and I’ve had no issues with hair falling out. Really love these banana clips.

This is pretty good! I’d say I have quite a bit of hair according to my hair stylist, and this was okay to get on. I definitely need some practice bc it was hard to do at first to make it look right, but I’m getting there. I’d say if you think you have quite a bit of hair that’s on the straighter end, I’d say this is okay. If you think you have a lot of hair and/or it has texture like major waves or curls, maybe not. It was definitely smaller than I pictured; however, it works pretty well in my hair. It has great hold and grip, and I don’t feel like it will fall. However, I predict it won’t last too long. The spring system seems weak just from the few times I tried it. I’m fine with it breaking at some point, but if it is soon, I’ll be mad. Overall, recommend for those that believe it can work for them! Super cute and love the tortoise color option! Edit: 7/4/2025 I bought these in may and they worked up until now; however, today the black one broke, I’ve been using it for work instead of a hair tie so I’m sad about it, but I’ll just the brown one instead now. I broke it while trying to put it in, and I didn’t have much strain on it, so idk how it happened. There’s a photo below of it broken. I like these, but I’m sad one of them broke already. 7/29/25: The other one broke. The glue for the small little metal piece that keeps it springy is terrible and is the reason it breaks. Love the idea but would not buy it again!

Finally a banana clip that holds thick black Indian hair and doesn't just fall apart! Looks great too!

I have really, really long hair (not quite classic length, but tailbone) that's fine but also really dense. I've always used claw clips but I'm tired of hiding my length in one, so I bought these! Right off the bat they look really cute, and they feel pretty durable. I love Kitsch's design and products, so I was excited to try them. It took a few attempts to get these in. I have wavy hair, but following video tutorials from people with wavy/curly hair meant I couldn't close the clip. Instead, I followed another method of pulling my hair back and just sliding the open banana clip upwards. It held my hair really, really well for several hours (it never fell out, I took it out) and I managed to maintain a good chunk of my length whilst still keeping my hair out of my face and off my neck - essential for summer! Genuinely really good products as with all of Kitsch's range, well worth grabbing them.
