Quality sea salt in an appealing color
This is good sea salt with a pleasant, shiny black color. Nice for finishing over salads or sides, or for rimming Margarita glasses. The color is only aesthetic enhancement, but it adds something to the presentation. Like most “volcanic” or “lava” sea salts, it has no connection to volcanoes or their rocky shorelines; “Hawaiian style” is simply good sea salt mixed with edible activated charcoal. Pricey but pretty!

Not coarse grain
Disappointed. They would have saved me alot of time and money if they didn't advertise this as "coarse grain" it is identical to the medium grain i have from another brand
