I had long since thought that TV signal boosters were not worth it and other things should be altered if there were issues with the TV signal, such as the aerial and the coaxial cables themselves. While it is true that those will play the biggest factors as I understand it (the main one in fact making sure to point the aerial in the right direction / adjusting it), this booster so far (after only a few days of use), seems to have been able to get things over the line. HD channels in particular for myself would suffer with pixelation occasionally, which would also interrupt scheduled recordings. The TV we use (which has the recording facility built into it) also has an auto tune feature that can be set to periodically scan for channels when in standby. This is useful so new channels are detected and the guide list of channels remains up to date without manual input, but also means that if channels are no longer detected at all, then they are removed and scheduled recordings are also removed / forgotten. As such, this booster has seemingly thus so far stopped the pixelation by significantly improving both signal quality and bettering the bit error level, and channels have remained after the auto scans. I have chosen to power this via a socket USB port so it always has power, as those in the TV power down when in standby, so the auto tune feature as mentioned would likely be effected by a reduced signal (quality and strength) meaning channels would be lost when the booster was not actually fully boosting the signal when the TV was otherwise in standy. All in all this booster thefore appears to be doing a good job. It is small too. The 3M pads provided were no good for sticking this to the back of a TV with a slightly bumpy texture, but that was easily resolved with Nano tape instead, and this sits neatly now out of the way doing it's job. On a side note, I don't watch live TV much now but record the odd thing here and there and I do like to have things working correctly should I wish to use it (even if only occasionally). So for a small price this was worth it for me, as digital TV is likely to be here for a few years yet until the full switch over to streaming only is fully integrated.

First class. Simple to fit and works absolutely perfectly, excellent

I had high hopes for this as I didn't need much, it seems climatic conditions affect the reception so I just need an extra push. However, after plugging the device, all channels were lost. Tried rescanning but at first nothing was found. After several tries repositioning the device it started finding channels but less than without it and quality was just as it was without. It seemed just perfect in terms of size and just needing an USB port, but it just doesn't work for me unfortunately and had to return.

Our aerial signal was OK going direct to the TV, but oftened failed going through our Manhattan pvr, registering a low signal level. This device seems to have solved the problem on the pvr. The signal level is now too much for the TV, though we never use it that way anyway. I've deducted a star because the description says gain is adjustable and it isn't.

Simple to fit. Signal strength doubled. I rescanned the channels and gained a lot of extra channels. The BBC channels were previously the weakest. Now they are stable and strong. I was skeptical that it would really make a difference. How wrong I was. I would thoroughly recommend this compact signal booster. Purchased on a Amazon deal and picked up from locker with no delivery charge. It's a no brainer. I may buy another for my bedroom TV with an indoor aerial. I'm not expecting the same improvement but it's well worth a try at this price. I'm not sure why others have had poor experience. I believe that you must have a properly installed aerial. Mine is in the loft but an outdoor one is probably best. However I have achieved great results with this booster with my loft aerial. Go buy it. You won't be disappointed. Caio AM.

Bought this for my dad , it improved his signal a bit , but he still complained

Alas don’t work. Bought a used like new version so thought it was worth a punt but actually pixelates the picture even more.

I started to lose channels on one of my TVs some months ago. It started with the HD channels but then others started to be lost. I thought I would try an amplifier but had no great expectations that it would work. I selected this product because it had mostly good reviews and was British made. I also wanted a product that would work off the USB port on the TV, rather than require an electrical socket. It costs a little more but for me that's well worth it. This product was quick and easy to install straight out of the box. I retuned the TV and all the channels were restored. I couldn't have asked for more. In fact, I'm thinking of buying another one for another TV that for the most part doesn't have the same problem but just in case..........

Dissapointed it made no difference to signal, still got pixelated screen.
