The gel pens , have a brush at one end and the other end has a twisting section from what I worked out when you screw it in it pushes the gel up and onto the brush head . There's not much instructions with it and I looked at the listing on desertcart to find out how to use it. One thing that concerned me was it says do not swallow the gel ! Well if I'm putting it in my mouth I'm sure some of it will get down my throat !
