The tank usually has a indicator line that states fill with water up to here then another line that states fill with solution up to here

This unit is a stand alone product and does not need to be mixed with another solution. You can however use the spot and stain pretreat first if you wanted to get tougher stain out.

Q: Can i use this on my suede sofa

Suede material should not be wet cleaned. I would recommend looking at the tag on the sofa for the best cleaning method.
