Bigger then 6 inches, 6 inch cap and pipe are extremely loose, inside 1/4 inch bigger then pipe . Cap slides right down inside female end!!! Buyer beware!!!

Works as it should. I was having a hard time finding this in any hardware stores locally so had no choice but to buy online. Works with 6" pvc sewer pipe (SDR35) as you would hope.

If your using this and you need heavy duty this may not be what your looking for. I'm using this to slightly raise the water level in a pond overflow pipe so this item was perfect.
