Worked Perfectly
I bought this for a couple reasons. 1st to be used while camping. The grill is great but not for boiling water or making soup. 2nd, because it is a ceramic top and easy to clean.I boiled a medium pot of water to a rumbling boil on max heat in roughly 10 minutes. I was boiling potatoes so the pot was quite full.Dropped the temp down as it boiled over to the boil temp and that kept it at a very light boil. Enough to cook my soon to be mashed potatoes but not make a mess.Very simple to use. I just assume to use the presets. Makes it easier for me to remember how I cooked what.I did not find it load like others but I was using it outside the camper. You do hear the fan, nlt going to lie but I had multiple things cooking and was occupied enough with that, music and drinks. It was a non issue for me.The only thing I will say is from other photos, it seems the feet are different on each. Mine had small pencil like feet with little rubber anti-skid pads. Not big rubber screw on ones. Whick I think I would prefer. But that is my only complaint and it did not effect anything on how I use it or how it performed. It is also pretty slick looking. Time will tell on the quality and durability of it. It will always be stored in the pop-up and will get jostled around when traveling.

good product. reliable
good product. easy for cleaning, takes some time to heatup but once heated works perfect. A bit noisy . suitable for pans that are in the size of the heating rim.

Works/1000 watts is not necessary for coffee or soup
This item has been performing well enough for heating soup/preparing coffee in a work site camper van.However...for these purposes...the 1000 watt setting has been unnecessary. At this temperature, this item makes an entire room too hot. And this has been in use through October to December. For summer coffee making, this item would transform a small space into a sauna. On the lower setting, (600 watts) this item boils water and heats soup to "piping hot".Correct shape of saucepot is necessary. This won't work if the bottom surface is curved, waffled, un-even, or lop-sided.(has been tested for preparation of grill cheese sandwiches. At the seller's recommendation for 1000 watts, this portable burner burns the cooking oil off way too fast. With 600 watts and some patience, you can prepare decent grill cheese sandwiches. )

Great
They made the buttons so you have to press and hold. I like that as there is no accidental press on them

Works fast
I have it for almost two years with no complaints and I do recommend,

Performs as advertised
I do like that it boils water better than any other hot plate I have used. This was the main reason for purchasing it. It also has a nice feature of letting you know the plate is still hot after use. I have only been using it for approx. 3 weeks so I cannot attest to its longevity, but overall it does what it states it does.

Very Good!
Very happy with this purchase! It's intuitive, easy, and compact while being extremely functional for my once a week needs. I have an induction over so some of pots and pans don't work with it and I've been using this for almost 2 years now and it's been nothing but perfect! I make sure it's stored indoors wrapped in plastic to protect against dust, and at the end of every cook I leave it plugged in to let the fans continue to run to cool it fully down. Compared to the rest of competition on the market, this was an absolute steal!

Fairly Nice cooktop
I bought this some time ago but never got to use it extensively until a couple months ago. When I plug the cooktop in the socket all the lights in the house flicker. This could mean a potential hazard. I tried other cooktops/hotplates and they don't have this issue. On a couple occasions it switched off in the middle of cooking. I have no idea why. I really wanted to like this cooktop as I did endless searching before purchasing. I initially want to use it on my portable generator but it draws so much power. I will admit it does boil water for soup fairly well and when switched off it does not take a long time to cool off. The cooling fan is a bit high when in operation. Not really a fan.

Fantastic - but don't push the buttons
Firstly let me say that this is my own personal experience, which may differ from other purchasers, but I’m hoping it will help others who intend to purchase the same electric cooker. Before selecting this item I did my due diligence and reviewed similar electric cookers and read their written reviews, and the one thing that was above those that I reviewed that made me select the Karinear, was the Title shown for the function mode. i.e. “Melt” thru to “Fast Heat”. No guessing at what mode you are cooking at, nor, trying to remember what the manual says for the wattage. It’s there in front of you. Considering I am an 80 year senior it’s a blessing.Although it heats up fast it isn’t as fast as an induction cooker, or so I am told, but it definitely heats up quicker than my stove.I give Customer Service 5 stars. I had cause to contact them when I opened the box and secondly in operating the cooker. I have a string of emails with respect to each contact, which are beyond reproach. I for one think that the service I received was excellent. As for the cooker….I wasn’t sure whether to give it 4 or 5, but decided 5 since it is a good cooker that I like, it does what it is supposed to do and makes my life easier. Why the 4 you may well ask. Well, I found the instructions a little confusing and I consider them to be not very user friendly for seniors. Hopefully however the following may explain it and I am referring to the manual provided.Step 1 is good but the On/Off button stays alight, it is only saying the power is on so don’t panic.Step 2 is good EXCEPT DO NOT PUSH AND HOLD THE BUTTONS. They are Touch Buttons so TAP the buttons like tapping an icon on your mobile, a gentle tap. This I discovered after a lot of heartache, attempts and time spent.Step 3 is goodStep 4.1 Having written many instructions, read and approved many prior to retirement this gave me heartache. This is what I found. After Step 3 TAP the Function button and 1000W appears. I waited about 1 second (counted 1001) tapped again the Function button, waited and continued tapping until I had gone through all function modes back to 1000W, waiting about a second between each tap. I did that just to make sure that that is what I have to do. I switched it all off, waited until cool and then went through again until it got to the cooking mode I wanted and stopped. That is basically the intent of Step 4. If you have a problem in getting to the function mode you may want to try this.Step 5 I haven’t triedStep 6 Yes you can increase the wattage or decrease but in tapping the Function button it doesn’t jump to the corresponding mode. i.e. going from boil mode (800W) down to simmer (400W) ). In changing, tapping the - sign, I am assuming it does drop in wattage. The alternative I found was to tap the Function button when in 800W and continue tapping Function until you get to simmer. That’s easiest for me because it saves wondering if you are getting the correct temperature.Step 7 I haven’t triedI am very pleased I purchased it and, as you probably guessed, I thoroughly recommend this item and shall continue to enjoy cooking on it.
