The biggest selling point was the ability to not only face the pool, but rotate 180 degrees to be viewed from other areas of the patio. I read a lot of reviews, so I figured I'd pay it back. This mount was used on an enclosed overhang on the patio with a 65" Roku tv (35 lbs). I'd rather pay $399 for a new tv every few years than pay for an "outdoor tv". Yes, this mount is made for 16" spacing in your joists. Not ideal since most are 24" apart, but not something you can't overcome. I used decking screws to secure a 36" x 16" piece of teakwood from Lowes to the joists and placed the mount on that. It's a bit expensive and I could have just used 2x4's, but my wife was not having it! The only thing that could have been better is adding an outlet to the mount for the tv to cut down on the wires being everywhere. It might have cleaned the wires up a bit, but I understand some slack is required for the mount to rotate. We had an electrician come and install an outlet near where I put the mount up and it's at least better than running a cord up there. Bottom line, we are very pleased with this mount. It does open and close slowly, but it's not a big deal. It is extremely sturdy and gives us more options than the one that just flips down. If you're thinking about it, go for it! Review: This is NOT an easy solution, but does work flawlessly! - Before you order, this mount REQUIRES your ceiling be on 16 6nch centers. Most walls are, but mine, as most, are on 24" centers. This required me to get into the attic, and reframe, which wasn't a horrible job. I just had to contend with a can light! Once framed in, putting the mount up is relatively easy, but putting the TV on the mount nearly requires a helicopter crane. I even went so far as to go out and purchase a $2600 TV that is relatively light, just to make this part easier. For 2 big, strong men, it was extremely challenging to lift even a 36 pound TV that high, and hook it in the key slot provided. Once the mount was in, and the TV was fully secured to the mount, all that was left was routing the wires, and, with the terrible directions provided, I have not YET managed that one. After all the challenges, however, it is one great mount that does everything claimed. I had promised my daughter that her wedding picture would be over thee fireplace, but I had nowhere else to put a TV. Vivo was the had solution to my problrm, but the ONLY ONE. ## Features - Motorized Height and Swivel: With the included wide range RF remote with 2 programmable memory settings, easily adjust the height, 180° swivel, 0° to -75° tilt, or +2° to -2° screen leveling for optimal viewing angles ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BWSP2LQN | | Best Sellers Rank | #34,618 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #427 in TV Wall & Ceiling Mounts | | Brand | VIVO | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Television | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 235 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Alloy Steel | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00810080413979 | | Item Highlight | Black, Large Motorized Flip Down TV Mount, VESA Mount, Heavy Duty Steel Design, Low Profile, Master Pack, Holds 77 lbs | | Item Type Name | Ceiling TV Mount | | Item Weight | 33 pounds | | Manufacturer | VIVO | | Material | Alloy Steel | | Maximum Tilt Angle | 75 degrees | | Maximum-Supported Screen Size | 70 inches | | Mfr Part Number | MOUNT-E-FD70S | | Minimum-Supported Screen Size | 32 inches | | Model Number | MOUNT-E-FD70S | | Mounting Type | Ceiling Mount | | Movement Type | Swivel & Tilt | | Number of Items | 1 | | UPC | 810080413979 | | Warranty Description | 3 Year Warranty | ## Product Details - **Brand:** VIVO - **Color:** Black - **Compatible Devices:** Television - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00810080413979 - **Material:** Alloy Steel - **Maximum Tilt Angle:** 75 degrees - **Mounting Type:** Ceiling Mount - **Movement Type:** Swivel & Tilt - **UPC:** 810080413979 ## Images ![Swivel Electric Ceiling TV Mount, 32-70 in Screens, MOUNT-E-FD70S - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71A2xkabNmL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Can this fold up in any position in the rotation? Or does it have to be in center location. Need to be able to fold when rotated to one side.** A: Hello! Thank you for your inquiry! With the MOUNT-E-FD70S, it can be folded up in any position, you just need to make sure when mounting that there is going to be enough room to rotate all the way to the left and the right. If ever you need to recalibrate the mount it will swing all the way to the left and all the way to the right.
