OPI Nail Lacquer - Black and Brown Shades - Chip Resistant & Long-Lasting Polish with OPI Pro-Wide Brush (15ml)

I adore this colour. A colleague at work had it, and she gave me the name. I've worn it so often since I bought it. It is very dark, to the point where my husband at first thought it was black. But then he realised it wasn't when i showed him my nails in the light. You can see the burgundy in it in the right light. I just think it's so smart. I tend to wear it as more of an Autumn / Winter colour, and usually opt for a brighter colour during Spring / Sunner. But there are no rules when it comes to nail colours! I also find OPI polish to be great quality, and this is no exception. I always put a base coat on first, then two layers of this (the second layer makes it really dark), then a top coat. The base and top coat are part of the secret to my nails lasting longer, the other secret is a good quality nail varnish, which this is. I always keep my nails short and have gotten a week out of this without chipping in the past.

I didn't like the look of this in the bottle as it looked a bit brown but when I put it on, I loved it! Colour turned out a very dark grey with beautiful sparkly bits in. Put it on on a Thursday evening (2 coats plus a base and top coat), did a lot of housework with no rubber gloves on, and it was still good as new. Removed it the following Wednesday as I wanted a different colour. Very impressed with the quality, colour and seller. Highly recommended and worth every penny.

I bought into the hype for this polish. It's typical OPI - easy to apply, self levels, two coat perfection. However, I'm not sold on the colour, mostly because I've seen people go on about how complex and awesome the undertones are. This is black like 90% of the time, and unless someone's sniffing your hands, I highly doubt another person will ever see these undertones on your nails. I wanted a black polish, so I'm pleased, but a bit disappointed the colour doesn't shift as much as I was lead to believe.

Expensive, chipped the next day, and the dry time took roughly 2 hours. I'll stick to my Essie from now on (which dries really fast and is half the price).

O esmalte é quase preto, mas tem um leve toque de roxo, fica lindo! É fácil de passar, tem boa cobertura, seca rápido e brilha muito. Vale a pena!
