Compact and cosy
I recently went on a wild camping trip and had the chance to put this sleeping bag to the test. Being a Duke of Edinburgh-certified sleeping bag, I quickly came to recognize the intuitive designs making this a trusty and affordable option. A quick search of the sleeping bag market reveals Vango is no stranger, their vast options of sleeping bag showcases great experience in a field of a mix of consumers, young and old. This sleeping bag in contrast to other brands, arrives in a nifty compact size. It may still be too large to fit in a bag but certainly far smaller, and thereby lightweight compared to the duffle-size bags made by other companies. I was immediately dozing away when I felt the cosy, cushiony feel of this sleeping bag! The sleeping bag comes in Vango's signature pod design. I take this is a feature that's either loved or hated - for slimmer to average builds, this zip-up pod offers tremendous warmth like no other; for larger builds, I warn this pod design will feel too tight and stuffy once zipped up. I used this sleeping for three nights and I was extremely relieved to have found such warmth and comfort for such a reasonable price. With temperatures dropping around 10 degrees Celsius and sometimes lower, there was not even a shiver while I was tucked away inside this cosy pod. I am someone with sensitive skin but I was amazed to find the material inside was smooth and soft enough to avoid any scratchiness. My feet quickly gained warmth and the cushiony exterior offered me the extra necessary padding to sleep as if I was tucked up with my duvet. On the other hand, the warmth did become a little too much as the inside material lacked breathability. For instance, I tried sleeping in this sleeping bag with my fleece and on all occasions, I quickly felt too warm and stuffy. Trusting on my t-shirt during the frost night, I finally found the warm balance in this sleeping bag to doze away.

Much bigger when packed than expected
Great sleeping bag! Just be aware the the pack size in the product picture (15x28cm) is wrong. In reality it’s 20x29cm. I was surprised when the sleeping bag arrived and looked much bigger than expected as packing size was one of the main reasons this one was chosen.

Good value sleeping bag
Perfect for me, but not sure if it would be big enough for anyone 6' or taller. Really warm and cosy. Lovely colour and good value.

Really warm
This is such a cosy sleeping bag. I have used it in summer (I didn't overheat but I did unzip it) and I recently used it for wild camping in Scotland (mid October) and it was still toasty warm. It's quite large to pack away, so probably not ideal if you are trying to pack super light, but it works fine for my purposes as I would rather be comfortable. Zip works well. I have tons of room to spare inside but I am a slim 5ft6 woman.

Fantastic sleeping bag
This is a great sleeping bag. It is the cosiest bag we have ever had. My daughter needed a sleeping bag to take to Zimbabwe this summer where it will be there winter and at night temperatures can drop to -5 and as my daughter is quite skinny and gets cold (she nearly froze on Dartmoor doing her gold DofE in November we wanted to make sure she actually had a decent bag. As you can see from the picture this has a cosy inner and is really thick. Also because it is mummy shaped it fits quite closely to the body keeping the heat it. The only problem for Dof E is that is is quite bulky and heavy, but if you need warmth like my daughter or is you have an injury or disability and can get you tent and sleeping bag moved each day then this would be a good pick. The first one we got sent had a tiny hole along the seam, not a tear, just missed a bit in the sewing I think, but the response of the seller was fantastic and they did everything they could to work with me and send me another one and reassure me that it would be fixed and not landfilled as this is an issue that’s important to us. I would definitely recommend the Vango sleeping bag and buying from Outdoor Summit.

Packs up pretty big.
Not the smallest sleeping bag but warm and very comfortable.

Good, but really big in size.
Good sleeping bag, seems high quality, but loses one star for its size, it's really big to backpacking, but since I have a big bag, I can carry it.

ein kleines geiles (Mist)Stück of Schlaraffenschlaf
