Great peppers
About 5 or 6 puts nice heat in pasta sauce. Small but spicy!

Great spicy little peppers!
Love these! They are small but pretty spicy! I am Italian and it reminds me of home. They have a unique flavor that accentuates the food but didn't take away from the dishes flavor. Tastes wonderful with pizza and pasta, but can be used in many other dishes as well! Good price compared to Italian delis here in the US. I grind mime in a small food processor and put in a spice jar for ease of use, but wear a mask if you inhale the dust you will cough a lot, very uncomfortable. Definitely buy it you like spicy peppers!

Great quality, quick delivery
These are fine quality peppers, just not exactly what I was looking for. Someone gave me some dried peppers years ago which look exactly like these, but they had a smoky smell to them. These “Diavoletti Rossi” do not have that smokiness. They are hot but not extra hot and will work fine in Italian sauces and recipes.

Small. Nice heat. Flavorful.
The perfect, authentic chili for Italian cuisine. They are quite small, but put out flavor and more heat than you might expect. If using an Italian recipe, like one from Lidia Bastianich, then you have the right chili and can expect it to behave according to the recipe. These chilis are a little pricey, since they come from Italy, but a few go a long way. These are the best I've found, after years of trying other chilies, and I'll order them again. They are worth it!

Be warned—these peppers may be small, but they pack a punch!
I discovered Calabrian chili peppers when making Rigatoni Alla Vodka and quickly grew to love them. They are roughly 3 to 16 times hotter than a jalapeño, yet offer a bright, fruity, and smoky sweetness that enhances Italian meals. When I want a quick bite, I make all'Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino with Argentine red shrimp. I start the water for the linguine, then sauté the shrimp in the pepper and garlic oil. As soon as the pasta is slightly al dente. I drop the linguine into the sauce, with a little pasta water, to finish cooking, then squeeze in a little fresh lemon. A delicious meal in about 15 minutes.

Year old lot, not fresh.
The lot is almost one year old, can’t be fresh at all. Don’t buy. The peppers are ok, pretty spicy, but they taste just like any grocery bought chili flakes
