It's a good product. I've used before back in 2013. Still drains all over the cloth and super sticky and messy. But it does the job do good in that regard. Not great for low porosity hair though and it's advisable to deep conditioner after as the moisturizer barely does anything. I'll use twice a year.

I found this product from researching what to do with my hair which was severely burnt at a hairdressers doing a Brazilian / keratin treatment. I had been using other well known products beginning with O, but although they thickened my hair, they didn’t seem to work as well for the moisture and elasticity. I used this for the first time today. Hair is immediately much softer, feels smoother, and because I colour my hair, the colour now looks more even as the cuticle is smoother. I had resorted to wearing my hair up following this disaster, but now I am confident enough to wear it down again. Not on the instructions but several YouTubers recommend a hair mask after step 2, which I did.

Bit of a long drawn out faf to use, and not the best smell. I haven't really noticed any real difference in my hair to want to purchase this again, There are alot quicker and easier product to use that do the same thing better

When I went to my braider, she told me that my hair was incredibly brittle and had no shine to it. I have been an on and off natural for the past few years and I really the brittle/dryness was just how it was. I assumed it was simply how my hair looked (i have kinky hair for reference) so I was really confused because I have tried dang near everything. She recommended this to me and I have not looked back. I've been using it every 1-2 months and my hair has been the strongest it has ever been. It's grown longer, it's thicker, and most importantly I don't shed NEARLY as much as I used to. It really made a huge difference in my hair. I am so surprised I did not know about this product until now and wish I found out sooner. I will definitely be ordering more when it runs out. I'm not so sure how well it would work for people with straighter hair, but people with kinky-curly hair should absolutely not skip out on this!

I recently went to a salon to have my hair colored. I had a conversation with the stylist ahead of time about my expectations and concerns, most notably that I was anxious about having my hair bleached before it was dyed cobalt blue. I had a bad experience with it in the past when another stylist overprocessed it. I have very curly, fine hair ("Irish curls"). This stylist reassured me that they use very good products (Matrix) and I wouldn't have to worry about overprocessing. Long story short, she overprocessed my hair. It was fine while dry, but the color was coming out of my hair very fast, and the texture was rough while wet. I was very upset to watch the cobalt blue I loved so much fade within two washes to an aqua color. It was still pretty but not what I wanted. I remembered after my hair was overprocessed the first time that I had used a product that fixed it called Ion 2-Minute Keratin Reconstructor. It was a miracle product that I chose to try while considering Aphogee. It seemed like an easier product to use, and it did the trick. This time around, I decided to go with Aphogee. There wasn't a particular reason for this choice other than I didn't want to go to the local store. I'm really glad I got this. It worked just as well as the Ion product. My hair felt better than it did before I went to the salon, so I think it needed the protein treatment for a while. I have two tips for those about to use this. First, the protein treatment (step one) is very runny, though not as thin as water. You'll have a much easier time by putting it into a spray bottle and spraying it into your hair until it's soaked all over. Then use a comb to distribute it through your hair so you don't accidentally miss any spots. I used a standard hair dryer to dry it. I didn't move my head at all, because your hair can't be moved much during the drying process. Don't touch your hair during this step other than to verify that all sections of your hair have fully dried. I have long hair, and I found that I wasn't drying the ends at all, so I had to focus on them. Once your hair is fully dry, get in the shower and rinse it under warm water. Follow-up immediately with step two: the conditioner. It's important that you leave it in your hair for the full time period (2 minutes) to restore your hair's moisture balance. I set a timer on my phone, but you could also use a kitchen timer or Alexa device. Voilà! Your hair will be restored! As noted on the bottle, there's no need to use this more often than once every 6 weeks, as additional treatments won't be effective and the product will simply rinse off your hair and down the drain. Followed the instructions but, unfortunately my hair now feels 'stripped' of any remaining moisture. Very disappointing as now have to try and find a way to repair even further damaged hair.
