Great quality printer
Amazing VFM. My old shredder kept jamming, so I ordered this and it whizzed through, much faster than expected. The capacity is great and the whole thing set up quickly so I was able to start shredding instanly. Perfect for my home office

Great Shredder - Best I've owned and the least expensive!
Fantastic - this shredder positively rips through paper. It disappears faster than much bigger shredders I've used in the past. It's not too fussy - just stick to the no more than 12 sheets at a time. The speed it works at is remarkable and the end result is small, only about 1 x 4 cm pieces. The only difficult bit is emptying it without making a mess - but in this type of shredder there's no getting around that. I rarely write reviews - but this shredder is so good I just had to say so!

Very useful
The shredder is working well, not too noisy and copes with quite a few pages at a time. Although it claims it can shred 12 pages at once, this seems quite ambitious so am sticking to 4 or 5 as I don't want to risk a jam. It will be very useful shredding bank statements and other confidential documents. Although it's quite large and fairly heavy to lift it has a handle and good capacity bin. Very pleased I bought it.

Decent semi-domestic shredder.
I bought this to replace a lousy cheap thing in my office. My needs are modest. I have a Rexel domestic product at home that has chugged on for 20 years of self-employed duty, it shreds two pages at a time if they're not thick. It gets hot and is slow and easy to jam, but has been reliable. This shredder is about the same noise level as my Rexel, does cross cut pretty well, and has a good sized bucket for the shreds, with a window which is indeed very useful. It isn't particularly fast and it copes with maybe four sheets of paper, but I stick to two because more just slows it down, stresses the thing, and will reduce it's lifespan. It is listed as for light office duty, I think that's a good description. To me it's work is a few sheets regularly, with infrequent sessions shredding the odd ream of old files. If that is your workload, this will do fine. If you need something fast and dependable for regular office file shredding, can't take the time to remove staples &c, or need 12 sheets shredded at a time, I would suggest look at paying a fair bit more for a commercial-duty shredder which this does not pretend to be. It has a reverse 'always on' setting for clearing jams, but no 'always on' forward setting which can be useful. However, it stays on for a couple of seconds after the paper has passed through which goes a long way to clearing any impending jams.

Still great 7 months on. First usage - a few things - generally seems great
Update 7 months after below review. Still going strong and has had a few major shredding episodes. I use lubricant sheet every now and then. Still impressed. Just used for first time. Poor recent shredder purchases - some 'deaths' due to my mistreatment, some not. Impressed so far. It is heavy (heavy and quite large shredding head). Blades look a lot more heavy duty than previous shredders advertised as same '12 sheet'. Dealt with 10 sheets paper and some card (4 sheets ) for around 7 mins pretty constant with no problem at all - no overheating - didn't feel warm even. Shred size is often a bit bigger than advertised (around 30x5 mm, not 20x5mm - no problem for me). Bin top is flat all around (helpful if used for other purposes when not shredding). If you have it on 'auto' setting it 'shreds' momentarily when turns on when putting lid back on. Not noisy compared to others I've had. Found size of bin intuitively helpful in not overheating - emptying once during 7 min session allowed some cooling ? Shredded credit cards with no problem. Will update if problems found in normal usage (absolutely no sticky labels, no overloading etc) . . . . . fingers crossed.

Good, but wouldn't use it for 12 sheets
I was replacing a small regular shredder where the blades had been dulled and I was frustrated with the bin size. This is a cross shredder, so although the bin is still on the small side it holds a great deal more. Now it says it might take 12 sheets but I wouldn't try it as it starts to labour over 4 sheets. It does a good job, it's quick and has saved me emptying it every 5 minutes. I'm not giving 5 stars because I think they have played with the truth about the 12 sheets, but otherwise I'm happy with it.

The Hungry Office Pet
I swear this shredder has an appetite. I’ve fed it bills, old receipts, junk mail, and it chews through them all with a satisfying crunch that feels like revenge on clutter. The 12-sheet capacity is generous, and it never seems to choke or jam like my old flimsy shredder used to. It’s surprisingly quiet, which makes a big difference when you’re working in a small home office. The bin holds a fair amount before needing to be emptied, and the cross-cut design gives you that extra sense of security — no one’s piecing these bits back together unless they’re a puzzle master with a decade to spare. What I appreciate most is the peace of mind. In a world where identity theft is a real worry, having a reliable shredder is like putting a lock on your personal information. This one does its job brilliantly without fuss, and dare I say, I actually enjoy feeding it.

Love this shredder! The conatiner is bigger than the average 4 gallon. It is super quiet and shreds like a dream (very tiny pieces) . But I specially love that it has a handle, which makes it so much easier to lift the top. I put a garbage bag in the bin and it's so easy to empty! I haven't tried to shred more than 4 sheets at once and it does that with ease. Perfect for my needs.

What an unexpected little BEAST this machine is!! For the price, this was an absolute bargain. High quality, heavy duty, does the job and looks neat and tidy in the corner. I bought it to shred cardboard for my garden compost. Hey, remember when shredders used to clog up on a few sheets of paper? LOL not this little guy! Chomping up cardboard like nothing. Now, it’s not a speed shredder like shoving one single sheet into a big office shredder but it’s still pretty fast and a whole hell of a lot faster than me doing anything with a box cutter. I went through several boxes within minutes without it overheating or anything. The first run, I produced 2+ bins of shredded cardboard without taking a break. The next day for the second run, I shredded some slightly damp cardboard and that made it overheat more quickly - I feel like that’s maybe not recommended lol. For best results, I ripped the tape and labels off of the boxes first. And tore them into more digestible sized pieces. I’m sure the shredder could handle whatever I threw at it but 1) the plastic tape can’t be good for the compost and 2) I didn’t want to deal with a jamming shredder.

Apr 2023 Update: 6+ months and this thing is still going strong! Just bought shredder oil sheets for the first time ever because how durable it's been! Original Review: So far this is the best shredder I've ever owned by a wide margin! Glad I spent a little bit more money on a much higher quality product (I got the 10min one too), this is the best bang for your buck! I've had a few shredders before in the ~$40 range (mostly Staples ones) that broke pretty quickly -- this one really doesn't cost that much more, comparatively. They'd only be able to do like 5 sheets (nowhere near 12) and eventually plastic bits would start falling out of the insides and it would stop working. If you put in like 4 sheets and folded one accidentally, those would jam immediately. Then the jams would be hard to clear and could damage the shredder. Or you'd run it for like a minute and it would start overheating already and start malfunctioning. So far, with this shredder, in a few weeks' time period, I already shredded more than I have in the past 5 years combined. Probably did like ~10,000 sheets of lots of old documents. That's how much of a powerhouse this shredder is compared to all the other ones I've owned previously! So it's been easily worth the money already as it has outlasted the others that would start malfunctioning at ~1,000 sheets. It's also never jammed on me! I've never tried 12 sheets on it, but it'll do 6 sheets no problem, whereas my previous shredders would start falling apart -- literally -- if you tried 6 sheets. And this thing can run for like an hour without overheating! Like I get tired out and I have to take a break well before it overheats. Whereas with previous ones, I'd spend like 2 minutes and already had to wait for it to cool down. Now the bottleneck isn't the shredder, but me! Also, because it's been so durable so far, I'm no longer afraid of shredding things here and there, worried that the shredder might suddenly break. Sometimes I shred some old documents as a therapeutic, meditative activity now -- shred your worries away xD It also holds more paper than my previous shredders before I have to clean it out. And while it is taller than I expected, that surprisingly made it more ergonomic so I didn't have to lean over as much while shredding. As some reviewers have noted, when I got it I did check the insides and did see some bits of shredded paper. That seemed sketchy, but it does say on the note that comes with it that they "test every shredder" and so that's why you might see some leftover bits. And honestly, even if it is used, it's outlasted my previous shredders by a 10x margin already, so it's good quality stuff either way. So, overall, well worth the price, best bag for my buck I've had with a shredder. Bonsaii also has a 1-year warranty (and the reviews seem to say that they've made good on that too!), which is why I originally bought it with my past shredder purchases going awry. But I guess it's as they say, if a company is confident in such a long warranty, the product probably isn't going to break quickly! Hoping to have this last for many more years :)
