I like the graphics on these panels. They're a welcome change from the bland look of most acoustic panels. Now, let's talk about how well they work. Acoustic panels vary in their ability to dampen sound based on several factors. The three most influential are the thickness of the panel, what the panels are made from and the shape or texture of the panel. To keep it short, the material used in these panels will do a good job of dealing with reflection of higher frequencies and will do a fairly good job of absorbing them. They will not do very well at absorbing lower frequencies (bass). This is due to two things. One is the thickness of the panel and the other is that texture or shape of the surface of the panel. So, whole these look nice and will most certainly contribute to make your studio acoustically isolated you're going to notice more of an effect on higher frequencies and not so much for lower frequencies. These panels are well made, the "art work" on them is very nice and over all they will serve a useful purpose around the parameters I mentioned above.

The included mounting velcro strips only had the hook side of the hook-and-loop mechanism that makes velcro work. Fortunately, I had a roll of double-sided tape that I used instead. The panels are quite large and make a bold statement in a room, and I'm very pleased with them, aesthetically. They're part of a larger home studio project, so in combination with many other acoustic panels they do reduce the amount of sound reflection. I later got some loop-side velcro tape to make use of the strips that came with these panels, and they do seem to hold well. I just had to provide my own remainder of the velcro equation.

Não possui propriedade acustica. Não reduz os ruídos. É apenas um quadro bonito numa placa de isopor.

Here's the big selling point- this kit will cover a standard-sized, 32" exterior door. The material is easy to cut with a sharp razor blade. This is important because most doors have a door knob. This is not sound proofing. This is sound treatment. Sound proofing requires an air tight seal for the space being isolated, and lots of surrounding mass. But this is not that. This is sound treatment. You put this kit on the walls or the door. the porous matrix has some mass, and sound enters the matrix and is converted into heat as it moves the mass in the panels. Becuase it is only .4" thick, it will attenuate high and mid high frequencies only. It is well printed, though the art is a matter of taste. I can confirm that the back side of these panels ae 100% white and unmarked. Pretty good value for money and quite useful if you wan to treat the highly reflective surface of a door inside your studio.
