A nice knife, but...
The Riptide is a well balanced knife, that fits well in your hand. It's a good size, and the scales are secure and have a very interesting look to them. Now for the buts. The sheath fits the knife exactly but doesn't give me confidence that it would hold up long term. The other thing is, that both the description and the photos state that the blade is 440C stainless - both here on Amazon.com and on Anvil Bladesmith's website. The knife I received has a blade made of 8CR13, according to the knife's etchings. 8CR13 is almost as good as 440C, but I really expected to receive what was advertised.
