Chessgammon BACKGAMMON SET CHESS SET NEW WOODEN BOARD GAME SET WALNUT WITH CHESS AND BACKGAMMON PIECES - 20"

I was after a full sized backgammon and chess set and after a lot of research decided on this one. Happy overall although there are a few complaints.Pros:- Full size, which makes playing a better experience.- polished wood looks really good. The decoration is also nice.- backgammon pieces are solid plastic and feel really good. Dimensions are perfect as well and fit the board. This is not always a given, I have seen sets that the pieces are too small so there are awkward gaps inside the board when you play.Cons:- chess pieces are inferior quality. They feel too light (in contrast to the rest of the set - the whole box is quite heavy in a positive way). Also, the finishing is poor, and many pieces have way too many imperfections (see the white horse in my photo for example). And even the round felt pads at the bottom are positioned way off center, in some cases slightly outside the piece base.- there should be a clip/hook to keep the box closed, but there isn't.- the paint job is imperfect at places. For example one of the dice has a non-painted dot, and at some parts of the board the paint is chipped slightly.It would be a solid 5 star product if it wasn't for the above issues. It could also very well be that other sets don't have the same problem as it seems there's a lot of manual processing in the production line, so you may get lucky and get a better set. I considered returning it and getting another one as well, but didn't want the hassle involved.
