According to the brand themselves, you need a 9.75 inch x 17.5 inch flap. That is simply not true. I know because I bought that exact measurement and they were too short. You need a 9.75 inch x 18 inch flap, which this IS. I am not joking when I say I have tried 4 different brands and types to get a good fit for our doggy door, resorting to manually shaving the sides of the last pair of flaps to make them a better fit because I was so sick and tired of ordering and returning those that didn't fit.....but now I have found these, I am saving them in my list in case I need them again. These.....fit....PERFECTLY! And I mean absolutely perfectly. So if you have a RuffWeather XL doggy door and you're looking for replacement flaps, congratulations.....you've found them! Also, these are opaque and not clear. It's of no importance, but you might want to know that. Review: Great replacement flap - It actually IS the best pet flap replacement. I compared it with another after-market flap, and this one was more true to size for my dog door (both long enough to not let in wind, and wide enough to catch on the fuzzy weatherstripping on the sides). Plus, the screw holes were carefully placed, unlike the other brand, so it was much easier to install. The metal plate at the bottom catches the magnet, and I like that it is opaque. It's a good weight and flexibility, similar to the original flap, and my dog went through it no problem (although I'm sure he wondered where all the dirty smears from his old one went...). I hope that it lasts as long as my last one did (17 years with numerous big dogs!). ## Features - SUPERIOR REPLACEMENT FLAP: Best Pet Flap is compatible with Ideal Pet Products RWRFXL size 9.75" x 17" pet door flap - CHECK COMPATIBILITY: Original flap has product number RWRFXL this flap features 4 mounting holes at the top and 3 rivets on the metal bar on the bottom, The flap is 9.75" x 17" for the opening of the pet door and when removed the flap measures 9.75" x 18" - FLAP ONLY: Door Frame Sold Separately, Replacement Flap Measures 9.75" x 17" for the opening of the pet door and when removed the flap measures 9.75" x 18" - ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY: Best Pet Flap is NOT Made with PVC and is BPA FREE thus more environmentally friendly and safer for your pet, MADE IN BRAZIL - WEATHER RESISTANT AND LONGER LASTING: Using technology from the medical and food service industry Best Pet Flap will outperform and outlast the original flap that came with your door - QUICK AND EASY INSTALLATION: Installs in just minutes with only a screwdriver - PLEASE NOTE: This product is produced by Best Pet Flap, We have no affiliation with or endorsement from any of the other manufacturers mentioned, Our replacement flap exceeds the quality of OEM product (based on 3rd party testing) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BRT8BW87 | | Best Sellers Rank | #13,319 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #25 in Dog Doors | | Brand | Best Pet Flap | | Brand Name | Best Pet Flap | | Closure Type | Snap | | Color | Clear Frosted | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 1,305 Reviews | | Dog Breed Size | Large | | Frame Material | Plastic | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00196852980925 | | Item Type Name | pet door | | Manufacturer | Best Pet Flap | | Manufacturer Part Number | BPFFXL | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Number | BPFFXL | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Pet Type | Dog | | Size | 9.75" x 17" | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Best Pet Flap - **Color:** Clear Frosted - **Frame Material:** Plastic - **Material:** Plastic - **Size:** 9.75" x 17" ## Images ![Best Pet Flap XLDog Door Replacement Fits Ideal Pet Products - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51wEtbOFhnL.jpg) ![Best Pet Flap XLDog Door Replacement Fits Ideal Pet Products - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81FdLP43laL.jpg) ![Best Pet Flap XLDog Door Replacement Fits Ideal Pet Products - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8126f0sX5KL.jpg) ![Best Pet Flap XLDog Door Replacement Fits Ideal Pet Products - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81ruwDxA6mL.jpg) ![Best Pet Flap XLDog Door Replacement Fits Ideal Pet Products - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71VwsVV5GvL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The PERFECT fit for RuffWeather XL doggy door! *by D***L on September 11, 2026* We have a RuffWeather XL doggy door. I hope that it lasts as long as my last one did (17 years with numerous big dogs!). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits well, frosted, thicker *by L***V on August 30, 2023* These XL flaps fit well for my RuffWeather XL dog door. They have maybe 1/8 inch gap at the bottom, but so have all the previous flaps. The magnetic strength isn't super strong but enough to hold the flaps in place. These are a little thicker than previous flaps. I did not realize these are frosted rather than clear. Not a problem, just different than what we have been using. Price was fair and much better than on official website. Shipping was delayed by three days by carrier for unknown reason but was not a problem as it wasn't an immediate need. Hopefully the thicker flaps will hold up better. As for weatherproofing, time will tell. We get some strong winds that blow in the flaps, I expect the same will occur with these too since the magnetic strength on my door vs the gap is not super strong. Previous flaps have stretched and the strength of magnet hold improved, maybe that will occur again. Overall, price vs expectations are met. I will buy again from this seller. ## Frequently Bought Together - Best Pet Flap XL Replacement Dog Door Flap Compatible with Ideal Pet Products Ruff Weather - Measures 9.75" x 17" Longer Lasting, Most Energy Efficient, Less Shrinkage, BPA Free - TamBee 196.9 Inch Self-Adhesive Pile Weatherstrip for Windows & Doors 3/8-Inch x 3/8-Inch x 16.5 ft (3/8in*3/8in*16.5ft, Grey) - Ideal Pet Products Replacement Flap for Ruff Weather Pet Door, Extra Large, 9.75" x 17" Flap Size --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/516189008-best-pet-flap-xldog-door-replacement-fits-ideal-pet-products](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/516189008-best-pet-flap-xldog-door-replacement-fits-ideal-pet-products) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
