Magical cloth!
I thought this might be good to clean my face while traveling, and save me the space and weight and volume restrictions of facial cleanser. I admit that I wasn’t very confident about it, though, which is why I bought this knockoff brand and also didn’t bother to try it out until I’d had it for a few weeks. When I finally used it, drenched with water as instructed, I was amazed that my makeup just wiped right off! I’m fair-skinned and use very black eyebrow pencil, mascara, and wide strokes of eyeliner, so most of the time facial cleanser is just a first step towards getting all the black gunk off my face, especially around my eyes. With this cloth, though, it all came off so easily, no scrubbing, and it came off completely! I’m amazed. Update: This product still works as advertised and easily removes all my makeup with only water, but I need to add a caution. The skin around my eyes became inflamed, itchy and swollen, after I’d been using the Makeup Remover cloth for months. I think the underlying issue was eczema or contact dermatitis, but the cloth has aggravated the problem and made it harder to sort out the causes and solutions for the extreme irritation. So still five stars for the cloth, but please use caution, wipe very gently with the cloth drenched with water, and I suggest stopping use if you have any skin irritation. Updating again, six years later: I am still using these makeup remover cloths. I also got my mom and sister using them. When we traveled overseas and lived out of suitcases for 11 months per year (2021-2025), I wouldn't leave home without them. They'll probably have to bury one with me so I can easily remove my makeup in the afterlife. Seriously, just buy them.

Amazing Product I Didn't Know I Needed!
I saw several bloggers post and rave about this product... which I knew little about. Several other bloggers had posted about the premium alternative sold at Sephora, but I didn't want to shell out the money for a washcloth. Decided to give this a try and am SO GLAD I did! I'm an avid fan of "double cleaning", meaning I use makeup remover wipes and then use a cleanser. This towel has replaced the wipes, which ultimately saves me money and is less waste for the environment! Plus, this cloth truly gets off ALL the makeup (including waterproof mascara - I tested it over the weekend at the beach and it worked beautifully!)! It's so incredibly soft, and large enough I "split" the towel between 2-3 sections (1 per day) before washing it. The hot pink is so girly, and the mascara has not stained it whatsoever. Also, I feel like my serums and moisturizers are working so much better because my face is fully clear of all makeup. I will be purchasing more! Also, it travels great!

Removes all makeup easily
I absolutely love this product! Just took an international trip and it was so much easier to take these than worry about makeup removing liquids. It's easy to use, soft on the skin, and takes off ALL the makeup quickly and easily. Will be buying more!

Great dupe for the overpriced original
I was looking into an alternative for the disposable makeup wipes that I was spending money on every month, and I came across the original Makeup Eraser (MUE) and was seriously annoyed by the fact that it was basically a washcloth that cost $20 (plus shipping!). I came to Amazon and found this one which is a fantastic dupe that does the exact same thing as the original MUE without costing $20+ and I'm so happy! The washcloth itself is soft and does actually have two different sides with different textures so you can remove makeup with one and exfoliate your skin with the other. However, though the two sides are definitely different, I've found that the "exfoliating" side doesn't really do much other than give your skin a final rinse before you hang the cloth up to dry. I removed a star because, as someone who tends to wear a fair amount of makeup every day (or every other day), I've found that the cloth gets fully dirty and has to be washed pretty often, maybe at the end of every week approximately. In this way it doesn't outweight the benefit of the disposable makeup wipes because you start fresh with a new wipe every day; however, I still think the cloth is worth the hassle of washing because A) it's machine-washable/dryable and B) you're saving on waste and money. I drench the cloth in warm-to-hot water, wring it out, then use the cleansing side to remove all makeup (including rubbing off my mascara) and then use the "exfoliating" side to wipe off any remaining traces of makeup. I follow up with washing my skin with a normal cleanser and reusable cotton rounds and my makeup is usually completely gone after this second step. This cloth is a great first-step in your makeup removal routine but I wouldn't say that it completely removes **ALL** of your makeup, which is why I knocked off a star. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone who wants an alternative to the overpriced original MUE and wants to stop creating unnecessary waste in the environment. It does what it says (for the most part -- see above paragraph) and I'll likely end up reordering whenever it's completely used up!

Works great!
Bought this for my wife, last Christmas. She had heard that something like this existed, but had not yet seen one. She was very skeptical, but tried it nonetheless. She was pleased with the softness of the cloth, and reasonably pleased with how much makeup it removed. She wiped her face with her usual removal wipes after trying this, and was happy to see that very little of anything came off further. Just some very light shading. The next time she tried this, she did the opposite. She used her normal makeup remover first, and then feeling satisfied that she had removed all of it, used this cloth, cleaned from the day prior, on her face. She was shocked to see how much additional makeup came off on this pink cloth, when her white wipes showed clean. She doesn't use it every time, now, but she's convinced that this works very well, and is easily cleanable. Hardest part is just keeping track of it in the daily shuffle. Glad I ordered the bright pink one! Actually, I am usually the one to clean it out. Just like washing your hands at the kitchen sink. A little water, and a mild hand/dish soap is all I ever use. Then, then a quick wring and its done.

THIS IS MAGIC!!
THIS.IS.MAGIC!! I wasn't even looking for this product when I was on Amazon, but I decided to give it a try once it popped up and see if it was really as effective as it claimed to be. Remove even the most stubborn make-up with only WATER?! No way! To put it to the test I cleansed half of my face with my trusty Neutrogena wipes (they are my go to in a pinch or when I'm feeling tired or lazy), and the other half with this cloth. Both seemed pretty clean, but it wasn't until I took the cloth and wiped the opposite side of my face that it reveled there was STILL make-up my trusty wipe hadn't completely removed! I was floored, and amazed at what a through clean this $6.00 cloth was able to gave me. It was easy, fast AND did not cost me an arm and a leg, unlike a lot of the other fancy cleansers I have used in the past...and it did ALL of this with just H2O. I have very sensitive skin so to find this item and have it work so well is a miracle. My only regret is that I didn't buy 3! I will now!!

They work!
Pros: -Cheaper than makeup wipes (saving tons of money in the long run). Better for the environment too! -Only require water to use and it is a quick process, feels like it gets all the makeup off after one or two rub around a the face. -Easy to throw in the washer and fine in the dryer on high heat (oops I forgot to check the tag before drying). It was fine the first time and I have now dried them on high heat at least 3x and they feel like new still. -Gentle on the skin. - Potentially less acne since use (I say this because I also started a new cleanser/lotion around the same time so can't be sure it is because of this product or a combination of them) Cons: -Makeup stains towel and so if you want to hang it up (it has a hook) it'll look dirty to a guest, even after it's been washed. Really still a 5 star product in my opinion, I personally don't care about the above con.

Works great but stinks after a short time
At first, loved it. It does take makeup off great. I was really impressed. However, after a month of use, with washing it every few days in laundry, the towel began to stink. I’m not an everyday or heavy makeup user, maybe full makeup about 3 times a week. After washing it in laundry and I don’t use a lot of chemicals, it still stunk. Now, it has that old stinky towel smell. I about can’t stand using it on my face it stinks so bad. I might soak in a sauce pan on the stove in hot water and see if that helps.

Removes makeup like magic
I have been trying this towel for a week now and like it. The following is a performance review, and comparison between the magic towel, and the Luxury Flannel Facial Washcloth by The Body Shop and the knojac pad that I was using before. It is compactly packed in a plastic bag. It comes with a simple leaflet, but usage is quite self-explanatory. But I like that the towel has a hanging loop for hang drying, and on the loop it has some simple instructions and reminders. It is a good size (40cm x 18cm, or 16" x 7"). I think I might prefer it in square shape but it's still good. The material is... S~O~F~T~~~~Like wow I can't stop touching it :P It is so soft, initially I doubt its cleaning power, but once I tried it, I knew I was wrong. I don't use heavy makeup: just sheer foundation/BB cream, concealer, brow pencil, eyeliner, blush, lip color. See the picture when I remove makeup normally with Bioderma Micelle Solution on a cotton pad. I used the Magic Towel to remove makeup, I could see patches of color trapped on the towel. And when I wiped my face with Bioderma, the cotton pad came out very clean, meaning the towel did a very good job. To clean the towel, I use Dr. Bronner's liquid soap and the towel looks clean and new again. And a quick comparison between the Magic Towel, Flannel Washcloth, and Konjac pad: 1. Preparation: The Body Shop Flannel Washcloth and Konjac pad both need to be soaked in water til they are soft before use because they dry hard. The Magic Towel remains soft, so you just need to wet it to use it, no waiting. 2. Ease of use: Both Magic Towel and Konjac pad are easy to use. Magic Towel is bigger so it covers more area than the konjac pad. Flannel washcloth is like a normal facecloth (good size in square shape), but the material is like a smooth rubber and I find it hard to use. 3. Cleaning power: Magic Towel is the best out of the three. The fiber traps makeup and dirt, and if I rub a little harder it exfoliates as well. The Konjac pad is porous and fibrous too so it cleans pretty well. But it is rather soft like pudding, I think the cleaning power is not as good as the Magic Towel. The Flannel Washcloth is just swooshing water on your face, with no cleaning action. 4. Makeup removal: The Magic Towel removes makeup without cleansing agent. The Konjac pad and Flannel cloth alone cannot remove makeup. 5. Taking care of it: Cleaning the Konjac pad is easy, just run under water and squeeze. To clean the Magic Towel I use soapy water and it is quite simple. If it gets too dirty I will throw it in a laundry bag and then in the washing machine. The Flannel cloth is easy to clean too, but can be stained easily and I can't take the stain out. 6. Time to dry: The Konjac pad and Flannel cloth take very little time to dry. The Magic Towel takes a bit longer to dry. I just hang it using the loop. Overall I will rate them: Magic Towel > Konjac > Flannel Washcloth I'd love to see the Magic Towel in square shape and in white color. Overall I highly recommend it and will get a few more.

Brilliant
Review from the wife: I wish I had bought one of these sooner. I cannot believe how well this takes makeup off. I put on thick coverage foundation then on top I use bronzer, highlighter, waterproof eyeliner on the top lid with cat eye flicks, kajal eyeliner, and mascara. The cloth was able to get all of this off with just water. When using fake eyelashes with glue and eyeshadow, I use a bit of micellar water on the cloth to help rid of the eye makeup but apart from using it to aid the removal; it is not needed. The fact just water is needed; and the fact that it is a reusable cloth is cheap in the long run and makes me feel better that I am not getting through multiple face wipes which are hard to break down and are a nuisance for the environment. Sometimes I would get through two make up wipes to get rid of all my makeup especially if it was an eyeshadow look and then my eyes would be red from rubbing. I have not had this when using this cloth; and when I washed it, all the makeup came off in just a half hour wash at 30 degrees.
