I’m extremely pleased with this Regalo Extra Tall Baby Gate and would happily give it five stars. It has been a fantastic addition to our home, providing much-needed peace of mind when keeping our little one safe around doorways and the bottom of the stairs. The extra height is a great feature, making it feel much more secure than standard baby gates. Installation was straightforward, and the gate fitted well in the space required. The instructions were clear, and once installed it felt sturdy and stable with no unnecessary movement. The design is practical and easy for adults to operate, while still being secure enough to prevent little ones from opening it. The gate opens and closes smoothly, and the locking mechanism feels reliable. I also appreciate that it blends in well with the home environment rather than looking overly bulky. Gate is good and works fine, only problem I have is my door is wider that a standard door but not wide enough to use the extender so my gate can come off quite easily which isn't ideal but still works for now.

Extremely easy to set up, which was a huge bonus. Plus, instructions were super clear and understandable. I have a 'springy' Boxer, so was looking for something taller, and this is perfect. Also, I have wide doors, so standard gates never fit. I've placed this at my lounge door, directly next to the front door, so we have no escapes, and I must say the security of it and strength will most certainly stop him getting through. I thoroughly enjoy it being in black - as it looks much more stylish. I had to use the extender that comes with the product. The lock and unlock function is very easy to use, even with one hand. Only downside, is the width of the bars aren't wide enough for my cats to fit through, when the gate is shut. Overall, extremely very happy indeed, and will be purchasing another two for the top of my stairs & kitchen.

I wish I had paid closer attention to the reviews before ordering this gate. While it looks good aesthetically, unfortunately it is not fit for purpose. The gate lacks stability, making it unsafe and unreliable for use around children. The overall functionality simply isn't there, with loose connections and missing threads on the screw-in parts for the extender, making proper installation difficult. For a product designed as a safety gate, these issues are unacceptable. Thankfully, I was able to find a cheaper alternative that installed easily and feels much more secure. Overall, I would not recommend this product due to the safety and quality concerns.

I ordered 3 of these gates as I needed something taller than the average safety gates. These break easily! The metal bars snap away from the frames. It happened to the first gate, I thought it was a one off - then it happened to the other gates - exact same place. Seems I'm out of the (6 month) warranty by the brand. I would not buy these brands again. They look sturdy & nice but joints on the gate are weak and snap

We purchased two of these tall baby gates—one to stop our staffy and French bulldog from going upstairs, and another to keep them out of our office, which doesn’t have a door. The high ratings from other buyers influenced our decision, and we’re so glad we listened! The gates are great quality and work perfectly to keep the dogs out. Excellent price as well.
